1、Module4Carnival教学设计英语(新课标)高中教材顺序必修5 一、教材分析: 本节课为我们了介绍了狂欢节中面具的魔力。要求学生了解对于狂欢节的起源,背景和如何庆祝狂欢节。通过学习文章,学生的阅读能力有一定的提高,能够理解课文的大意,了解一些阅读时的巧,并且学习课文的重点短语和句子。最后的讨论话题能够很好的训练学生的口语表达能力。二、学情分析:教学对象为高中二年级学生,他们已经有了一定的词汇量和语法知识,对于简单课堂的用语,他们能够听明白,但是他们的阅读能力还是比较弱,因此我在设计这节课时,以合作探究教学为主,设计多样式的阅读活动,提高学生的阅读能力,学生能够积极地参与到课堂中来。三、

2、教学目标的确立 1. Knowledge and Skills: (1) Know some important difficult point.(2) Deal with some detail information through reading the passage.2. Process and Methods: Complete some activities through individual or group work. 3. Emotion and Values:The students can know something about carnivals and they

3、 can cherish our happy life today.四、教学重点Teach students some reading materials.五、教学难点How to help students to apply the knowledge that they have mastered and then put to use in practice.六、教学方法的选择1. Develop the Students reading skills by skimming.2. Scanning to find the detail of the passage 七、教学手段的选择A

4、 recorder and multimedia八、教学过程Step I Organization(1min) Greet students and promise to give a present to the winner group.Step Lead-in(3min)Purpose: To arose students interests by talking about festivals: Carnival.The teacher brings some pictures of beautiful festivals. Teacher: Can you name the foll

5、owing festivals? Students: The Spring Festival.【设计说明】通过观看一些节日的图片,使学生对节日有了认识,激起学生学习本课的兴趣,进入本课学习主题。教师让学生明确本课教学目标。Step Pre-studying(2min)Purpose: Prepares students for the passage. The teacher shows pictures about people celebrating carnivals and ask the students to appreciate some photos. Teacher: Do

6、you see what do they have in common? Students: They wear masks. Teacher: The masks are magical, arent they? Students: Yes. Teacher: Do you want to know the magic of the mask? Students: Yes. Teacher: OK, for today we will learn some information about the magic of the mask.【设计说明】学生的学习兴趣被激发起来后,教师可以利用课文

7、中出现的图片让学生观察在狂欢节中人们穿的服装和首饰,使学生对课文学习充满了渴望。Step Fast Reading(7min)Purpose: Train the students reading skills by skimming The students listen to the passage and answer : the beginning of carnival.Answer: In Europe.The teacher ask students to finish the two tasks.Task 1: Ask the students to read the pass

8、age aloud and then choose the correct answers.Task 2: Ask the students to decide right or wrong.【设计说明】让学生带着问题听课文能够锻炼了学生的听力能力,接着让学生快速阅读课文,完成两个任务:通过做选择题和判断题,学生能够从整个上对课文有所了解。Step. Scaning(10min)Purpose: Students reading skill can be improved.The students read again and select the key words in every par

9、agraph. Students can discuss them in groups. The group which finds the correct key words will get one point.Suggested answers: Para1: impression; Para2: meaning, celebrate; Para3: Venice, the problem; Para4: the law; Para5: revived; Para6: celebrated, feature.【设计说明】在仔细阅读中,让学生通过进行各段的阅读找出关键词,学生可以以小组合作

10、的形式进行,通过交流和归纳等方式,找出各段的关键词,提高了学生的查读能力,以小组竞赛的方式,学生能够积极地参与进来。Step Language points(7min)Purpose: Let students read the text to find out the important language points, and finish with the phrases given to train students independent study.The students complete the sentences with some given phrases.【设计说明】学

11、生通过对课文的理解能够找出重点词组的含义,这部分可以利用小组竞赛的形式进行,先由学生一边听课文录音一边在课文中画出知识点,然后以小组竞赛形式看哪组找到的知识点最全,因为学生找到的词组有新学的也有以前学的,教师可以设计习题让学生用新学的词组补全句子。Step Discussion(7min)Purpose: Train the students speaking abilities.The students can discuss in their groups to finish the question: Say your favorite festival? And Why?【设计说明】教

12、师通过设计小组讨论活动来锻炼学生的口语表达能力,在小组活动中,使每个学生都有展示自我的机会,激发了学生学习的兴趣。Step Summarize(2min)The students summarize this lesson and ask the students to cherish our happy life when we celebrate these festivals through this lesson.【设计说明】由学生来总结本节课学到了什么知识,来检查学生是否掌握,然后教师对学生进行情感教育:让学生珍惜今天的幸福生活,是对本节课阅读后的一个升华。这一活动主要是将学生所学到

13、的知识与现实生活有所关联,学生能够有正确的价值观。Step Homework(1min) 1. Try to retell the passage.2.
