Simone spent much money when she was preparing her wedding, which aroused Alice, her step-mothers dissatisfaction. Thinking he

7、r fathers company would pay all her cost, Simone didnt follow Alices advice. But before her wedding, Alice sent a letter to inform her that it was cancelled. In the letter, Alice told Simone that she had bought her fathers bankrupt company when she fell in love with him. Now her father was fired and

8、 divorced. Unfortunately, her fiance decided not to marry her after knowing the fact.The text can be divided into two parts:1) Para. 1 Para.9 - Simone prepared her wedding. Everything seemed to go on smoothly although her step-mother Alice tried to stop her from using too much money.2) Para. 10end A

While in the second part, Simone lost control of her senses and collapsed in mind when knowing that she was penniless and her fiance would not marry her. In fact, the strong contrast of the two parts succeeds in producing a dramatic effec
