3、ns PresentationTuning In 课前教师搜集一些在机场接客的情景录像或图片。也可利用课文中在机场接客的图片。 播放录像或出示图片时,可利用以下问题导入本课主题receiving a visitor。 a. What is the girl in the picture? b. What is she doing? c. Have you ever received anybody at the airport? 通过比较图中时钟显示的时间(10:00)和航班信息牌显示的出发时间(0800)和(0930),让学生了解飞机已推迟起飞。然后提问: a. Look at the cl
4、ock. What time is it now?(10:00) b. When is the flight to London due to leave?(8:00) c. What about the flight to Tokyo?(Its due to leave at 9:30.) d. Do you know why the flights are delayed?(Because theres a heavy fog./Theyre delayed because of heavy fog.) 引出生词和词组,板书delay和because of。 要求学生根据航班信息牌和外国女
5、生的话语,就课本上的问题进行回答。集体核对答案。 Extension activity: 要求学生根据问题的回答,以The girl is flying to London,开头,简单描述图意。例如: The girl is flying to London. The departure time of her flight is 8 a.m. As her flight is delayed because of heavy fog,the girl has waited at the airport for several hours. Text 学生根据插图和课文开头的场景介绍,回答下列
6、问题: a. Which part of the airport is it?(International Arrivals.) b. Whos the traveler? The boy or the girl?(The girl.) c. Wheres the girl from?(New York.) d. Is the girls flight delayed?(Yes, it is) e. What time is it now?(3 p.m.) 播放课文录音,要求学生了解大意。可用下列问题检查学生是否理解课文内容: a. What did Yu Bin say when he me
7、t Lisa? b. How did he introduce himself? c. How did Lisa greet Yu Bin? d. How was Lisas flight? e. Why was it delayed? f. How were they going to the hotel? 再次播放课文录音,学生跟读,模仿语音语调,教师纠正发音。 利用SB中的Lesson Notes及本书中Key words and expressions()和下列补充注释,教学生词、短语和句型。 But Im sorry our flight was delayed because of

DISCOVERING LANGUAGE Making suggestions :学生朗读本栏目例句,并回答问题。本课有关建议的句型比较简单,可由学生总结常用句型。可结合DEVELOPING SKILLS 中 Listening & Speaking 部分的Ex.1 的Model 1进行操练。先两人一组进行,然后教师抽查三组在全班就三幅图片对话。 Make offers :让学生根据Model 2 进行操练。 Extension activity: 学生根据本栏目的六幅图片,拓展内容或自己创造情景,自编对话。 DEVELOPING SKILLS List
11、ening & Speaking Ex.1 教师领读Model,然后请学生根据Model完成练习。提醒学生注意Model 1是主动提供帮助、接受帮助和提出建议,而Model 2 是主动提供帮助和谢绝帮助。具体教学步骤见本书DISCOVERING LANGUAGE栏目 Ex.2 Task 1 播放录音前,请学生先看图片,并快速浏览需要补全的对话。然后边听边做,集体核对答案。最后两人一组进行操练。教师检查12组。 Task 2 提醒学生对话应包括下列五个方面: a. Greet the foreign guest b. Ask about the flight c. Apologize for t

What do you want to do and see in a foreign country if you have a chance to go abroad? c. Do you think all large cities are similar(相似的) or different n
14、owadays? 为了培养学生通过上下文来猜测词义的能力,先不要将全部生词都进行教学,只教overseas和Pacific Islands等词语和词组,其余生词可让学生通过已学过的词汇,构词法和上下文猜测词义,例如:traveltraveler,experiencedexperience,tour, touristtourism,friendlyfriendliness。通过上下文猜测rather than的含义。然后让学生在规定的时间内默读,独立完成Task 1。Task 1旨在培养学生抓段落大意的能力,可先让学生默读一遍短文,并尝试自己总结段落大意,然后浏览三个说明段落大意的句子,并填写答
