A week later,all the students returned to the lab for a surprise test of their knowledge and understanding of the text.The important finding is that the teaching-without-notes group and the retrieval-practice group outperformed the group that completed arit

31、hmetic problems and the group that taught with a script. In fact,the performance of the teaching-without- notes group and the retrieval-practice group was comparable.The researchers said the result shows that the benefits of the learning-by-teaching method are caused by retrieval practice; that is,t
