Teaching Material and Student Analysis本单元以“Astory”为主题展开一系列教学活动,核心语言工程是“Tell a story。从 Section A的中国古典故事,到Section B的西方寓言故事。始终贯穿“story”这一主线,使 学生在相关的听说读写活动中习得语言知识,提高英语运用能力。SectionA的教学重点是 让学生学习用自己的语言讲述故事,在讲述过程中恰当

2、使用连词,并能根据故事的相关信息 表达自己的观点,模仿和运用语言,同时渗透批判性思维的培养。这局部的教学难点是将学 生熟悉的中国神话故事内容转换为符合英语表达习惯和思维的语言表达。由于本课时涉及的几个故事都是学生耳闻能熟的,所以对于故事内容并不陌生,学生能 根据图片提示,运用一般过去式很快说出故事的大致内容。需要注意的是来动词过去式的熟 练运用及能否恰当使用连词。IL Teaching Objectives.语言能力:1)能够运用一般过去时来表达一件事。2)能借助how, what, who, why等引导的疑问句完成故事的表达。How does the story begin?What ha

3、ppened next?Why would they put the earth and stone into the sea?3)学会在故事表达中运用as soon as, unless, so .that等连词。4)培养学生听(听问题、听故事)、说(答问题、讨论故事情节)、读(阅读故事内容)、 看(看图)的能力。5)能够掌握本单元的重点单词、短语和句型,并运用这些关键词来描述一个故事。1 .文化品格:1)通过讨论中国民间神话传说,了解中西方文化的差异。2)从学习愚公的故事使学生感知一个道理:You never know whats possible unless you try to ma

4、ke it happen.2 .学习能力:1)培养学生的认知策略:如何根据人物对白总结故事情节要点,运用话题进行故事解读。2)培养学生的交际策略:通过discussion, pair work, group work学会与他人合作学习。3)培养学生的资源策略:让学生明白除了从书本获得知识以外,电影、课外书籍等都是 很好的获取知识的途径。TIL Focuses教学重点:1)能借助how, what, who, why等引导的疑问句完成故事的表达。How does the story begin?What happened next?Why would they put the earth and

12、a time,“ How does the story begin? ”本节听力是愚公移山的开 头,有了之前的铺垫,学生能 顺利猜出故事,改编1b局部 能够让学生更掌握故事细节, 从而为后面的讨论做好铺垫。3.
