3、in this age are easily activated by pictures and videos in the class and they like to share their opinions. Furthermore, they  are very interested in the topic of cloze test and eager t

4、o know the strategies about the cloze. However, their vocabulary is limited so they may have difficulties in understanding and translating some sentences while practicing cloze test which leads to wrong answers. Besides, it is of great significance for the students of senior 3 to learn the strategie

5、s to solve the problems in the cloze test effectively.I. Teaching objectives:To help students to know the features of the cloze test.To help students to grasp the clues to find out the answers of missing words in the cloze test.To cultivate students optimistic attitude towards life by means of readi

9、he parts and the whole, so as to highlight the importance of the whole in the cloze text, and help students to make good use of the relationship in practicing the cloze text.Step 2. Introducing the characteristics of the cloze test (3 mins)By observing two forms of cloze test of recent 3 years, the

10、students need to discuss and discover the features of cloze test by themselves. The aim of designing To ask the students to review the features of cloze test by means of independent study.Step 3. Introducing related information of the cloze text(1 min) Due to the chosen cloze test is from 2019(III)

11、is about a town in Norway, which cant receive sunlight nearly half year, the teacher show some pictures about Norway and introduce the basic information about the problem the town had, so as to arouse the interests of the students.Step 4. Discovering and discussing four main clues included in the cl

12、oze (20 mins)1.Choosing by the known information(1) Read the first sentence to get the general idea. Read the first sentence of cloze test in 2019(3) carefully to find the general idea of this passage: The small town Rjukan cant receive sunlight nearly half a year because of its location.(2)Read the

13、 whole text to get the plot(for narration) or structure(for exposition) of the text.Structure: 1. Problem: Rjukan couldnt receive sunlight in half a year 2. Watching this video can enhance students impression on this place and get them to know about the emotional color envi

20、ed by this text, which aims at cultivating students optimistic attitude towards life.Step 7. Group work (5 mins) Suppose the students are question designers, ask each group to set 5 questions for a short passage. The team leader need to choose one of the 7 passages. Ask students to stand up and disc

21、uss for 3 minutes and share the answers. Step 8. Summary (2 mins)Show the mind map about the main clues in the cloze text and ask students to review together.
