1、Topic: Listening Skills(mainly for the students in Grade 9 )(外研版九年级英语)Listening SkillsTeaching background:In todays lesson, we mainly talk about the listening skills, for its quite difficult for my students to do the listening well. And they didnt have the conscious to practice the listening after c

2、lass. In the old days, they didnt have many ways to improve their listening. In order to give a big hand, I designed this lesson. And I help the students to find out more ways to be a better listener.To the students in my class, most of them are shy to speak out. Theyre weak at listening. And some o

3、f them always depend on teachers help to study. Whats more, students are too lazy to dig out new ways.Teaching Target:I The aims of knowledge:Listening skills, its concerned about numbers, places, relationships & culture.II The aims of abilities :Listening, speaking and teamworkIIlThe aims of moral

4、education:Care more about life and learn more positively.IVImportant points: Listening skills.Difficult points: Key words, like numbers, people and places in listening;Culture awareness.V Teaching procedures:Stepl: Warm up (引入)Procedures : While listening, we need to pay attention to Listening Skill

5、s. I show them two important abilities in listening so that they can understand what they need to better.Purpose: Know clearly what they need to be a better listener.Step2: Practice (呈现考点、带着技巧去练习)I design different listening exercise for students to practice and observe. Find out the secrets while l

6、istening. Teacher can give students some tips and help if necessary.The first part:situational communication (ask and answer in a simple way)Procedures : its the basic ability in listening. So I let them to listen and check first. Students observe the exercise and mimic how to react. In order to mak

7、e the point clear, I use the website to help the students. Theres many topics for students to choose to practice. Its a good tool to self study.Then I design a groupwork for them. I give them some situational questions, ask them to practice with partners. They make dialogues in group. Then they spea

8、k out with partners and win the scores for their team.Purpose: help them to learn more about how to communicate better. And work better with partners. They learn that in an easy and happy way. Through the competition , students feel happy and confident.The second part:dialogues 声东击西Procedures : Dial

9、ogues are a bit difficult for students to do. So I choose some keys that are easy for students to make mistakes. There are mainly the following parts: numbers, relationship, places.For each parts, I use the exercise to practice first, then, give them some guidance.1. To numbers, I show them the ones

10、 that are easily confuse, like the number 13 and 30.2. To the places, besides practice, I design a guessing game for them. I give them some key words, and ask them to discuss with partners to see if they can tell the place. Most of them can get them. While competitions, students feel energetic.3. To

11、 the relationship, I help them to be clear with that by using the people around them. So the result is obviously good. Then, I ask them to guess what they might say while speaking. You know, different people speak out something different. Its an easy task fbr students to finish if they understand th

12、e relationship ahead.Purpose: I use the fun way to help the students understand the important and difficult points. In the same way I help the students consolidate the keys by doing more exercise.The third part:Passage listening (culture and its deep meaning)Procedures : Culture knowledge is quiet i

13、mportant in our passage listening. I make students discuss the culture in group and share in class. Through practice, students are interested in culture and can do better in listening.Purpose: Students discuss in group and learn to work better. In the same way they learn to broaden their eyes.Step3

14、: Moral Education (感情升华)Procedures: Summary what we learn today and improve the listening skills. Be confident and learn more on their own.Purpose: build up their study awareness and be active.Step4: Homework (作业)Procedures: different homework for different level students. I assign the homework acco

15、rding to their study.Purpose: do different homework and build up their confidence.VI teaching reflection1. While listening, the guessing game should be guided clearly. I should make an example or explain better. In all, all the guidance can be clearer.2. While groupwork sharing, students should list
