1、 人教版高中英语必修一Unit3 Living legends教学设计 教学课型:阅读课I、 设计思想:这节课的教学设计以人教版新教材高一必修一第三单元内容living legend为材料依据,充分考虑学生学情,以一篇阅读课材料为依托,对其深度挖掘和有效拓展,把词汇拓展,阅读理解和书面表达三者有机结合起来,活动设计充分考虑学情,使不同水平层次的学生都能有所收获。另外,在整节课的学习活动过程中,充分运用“自主”,“合作”,“探究”,“展示”,“体验”和“反思”等学习方式,有效培养学生学习策略,在活动中感悟“永不言败”的体育精神,从而提高了学生的学科核心素养。II、 教材分析:这一板块的活动主题是

2、体育界的活传奇,Living legends of sports。从选择内容来看,文本选择了两位著名运动员郎平和迈克尔乔丹。这一中一外一男一女两位运动员不仅在体育方面取得了令人瞩目地成就,而且还具备了很多闪光的个人特质与魅力。郎平作为运动员和教练员都取得了世界冠军。本文着重描述了她的团队合作精神和迎难而上的坚定决心。飞人乔丹是美国篮球联赛的常青树,文本着重描述的是他不畏失败,坚持不懈的精神和投身公益事业的热情。学生不仅要崇拜这些体育明星,而且还应该从这些模范人物身上领悟和感悟做人做事的道理。这些都是两个文段的主题意义所在。从思维层面来看,作者在引领段中点出了评选体育传奇人物的标准:Master

3、s in their sports set good examples for others 。(体育大师为大众树立了好榜样)正文中对两位人物的描述都是围绕这一标准展开,具有很强的逻辑关系。学情分析:学生由初三刚升入高中,学科知识储备不足,不适应教材的大容量,阅读速度和能力都有待提高,有效学习策略不明确。所以对学生进行正确的学法指导,使学生养成自主学习,勤于思考,善于归纳总结并积极质疑反思的学习习惯是当务之急。V、Teaching objectives(教学目标): English core competences (英语核心素养)1. Possible answers: Yao Ming; Su Bingtian; Tiger Woods; David Beckham; China woman volleyball team ,etc. 设计意图:借助图片,由学生谈论自己喜爱的体育明星入手,引出主题背景,激活学生已知信息,形成阅读期待。Step 2 Predicting (预测) 【自主】 What do you think the text is about?Read the first paragraph and check your predictio

9、ns.A possible answer:The text is about two famous sports players who set a good example for the public.设计意图:借助图片及标题推测文章大意,理解文本结构。Step 3 Skimming and checking(查读) 【探究】 Read through the text and match the labels with these two living legends设计意图:通过对信息分类提取,培养学生阅读技能-查读,快速匹配关键信息,借助改述、图示等方式理解重点词汇,为下一步深度理解

10、文章奠定基础。Step 4 Close-reading (精读)【探究】 Read the text carefully and answer the questions, paying close attention to the underlined words. (1) Which picture does this sentence below describe?(When Michael Jordans feet left the ground, time seemed to stand still.) Look at the screen for the pictures.(2)

11、Which sentence in the text best shows that Michael Jordan is a “game closer”?In the final seconds of a game, Jordan always seemed to find a way to win.设计意图:通过三个开放性问题,培养学生的阅读技能精读,加深学生对文章的深层次理解,使学生清晰地体会到传奇人物身上独特的人格魅力。 Step 5 Discussion (讨论)【展示】【合作】Discuss the following question in groups and organize

A possible vision: As a student , we should keep the spirit in mind, ta

14、ke immediate action, concentrate more on our lessons , set a good example for others and struggle hard to make a difference(有作用) to our country! 设计意图:通过反思,培养学生批判性思维能力。学习女排精神,渗透德育目标。知识由内化到外化,使学生形成学科核心素养。Step 7 【Homework】(作业)【体验】Prepare a brief introduction to Lang Ping, Michael Jordan or the athlete
