Analysis of teaching materialStatus: The type of this lesson is reading and writing. As we all know, reading bel

9、ongs to the input during the process of the language learning and it has great influence on output such as speaking and writing, so the reading is the key point of this unit. The topic of this lesson is Planes,II. Analysis of teaching material and target students 教学文本分析与学情分析ships and trains. Accordi

10、ng to the Theory of Integrated English Learning Activities, this topic belongs to the theme of human and society. So this topic has certain social value for the students.Content: The text mainly describes four ways of transportation from London to Amsterdam for us to choose the best way to travel. H

11、owever, the whole text is open-ended because of the different thinking mode in western countries. Moreover, cultural and geographical difference is hidden between the lines which are to be discovered by students. So apart from the language and learning abilities, students thinking qualities will be

12、more concerned in this class.2. Analysis of target studentsMy target students are all eighth graders. Students from age 14 to 15 are active in mind but also a little sensitive and they are just in the crucial period of value-forming. First, I think this topic is closely related to their life, which

13、means they would be interested in it. Then, these students are familiar with the use of superlative of adjectives in some words from the previous study in unit 1, and there are few new words of the text, so this reading material shouldnt be too difficult. But they still lack the experience of using

14、superlative of adjectives to describe multisyllabic words. Besides, they know little about the cultural and geographical difference, and their ability to think critically from the perspective of choosing the best way to travel is relatively weak so they require some targeted advice during the proces

15、s of learning.The using of seewo and other IT materials is accord with the interests of students at this age.III. Objectives 学习目标According to the New English Curriculum and Syllabus, after studying the teaching material and target students, I have set my teaching objectives as follows.For Language A
