6、nd that I wanted to be an astronaut someday. 【辨析】someday,one day (1)someday也可以写作some day,指“将来的某一天”,常用于将来时。(2)one day可以表示“将来的某一天”,作此意讲时,可与someday互换;另外它还可表示“过去的某一天”(常用于故事的开头),常与过去时连用。5.To get ready,he studied hard in school. get ready意为“做准备”。表示“为做准备”用短语get ready for。 【辨析】be ready,get ready,prepare (1)
7、be ready表示“准备好的”。表示“为 准备好”时后跟“for+名词/代词”或跟不定式。(2)get ready表示“准备”。表示“为准备好”时后跟“for+名词/代词”或跟不定式,强调准备的过程。(3)prepare既可作及物动词,又可作不及物动词,后接介词for表示“为做准备”。6.After so many years of hard work,his big chance arrived! chance为名词,意为“机会,机遇”。常见搭配get a chance to do sth.,意为“获得做某事的机会”;have a chance to do/of doing sth.意为“
8、有做某事的机会”;miss a chance意为“错过机会”。7.I asked him for advice on how to become an astronaut. ask sb. for advice意为“向某人请教”;后面的介词短语on how to become an astronaut用在名词advice后作定语,对advice起修饰作用。另外,give sb. advice表示“给某人提建议”。4)分组活动Work in pairs.
