1、Unit 4 I have a pen palGood afternoon, everyone!Its my great honor to be here to present my lesson. Today Ill talk about “I have a pen pal”. The lesson is focused on the topic of the different hobbies. My lesson planning consists of 7 parts. I will talk about them from analysis of the teaching mater
2、ial, analysis of the students, teaching key and difficult points, teaching methods, teaching aims, teaching aids, and teaching procedure.Well, firstly, Ill talk about part 1 analysis of the teaching materialToday Im going to talk about Part A of Unit 4, PEP Primary English, Book5. It mainly deals wi
3、th the words about hobbies and provides a real situation for the Ss to practise the pattern: What is your hobby?/ What are your hobbies? And the answer: I like/he likes/she likes Furthermore, there are many pictures in the book. For this, the kids will be interested in the book. As we all know that
4、interest is best teacher for the students. Last but not least, this book lays stress on the communication. According to the problems of learning English for Chinese students, the book designs a lot of materials to improve the students abilities of listening, speaking, reading, and writing.Then Ill t
5、alk about next part analysis of the students. It is known to us that the kids are very active and like playing games very much. Therefore, Ill design some interesting games to activate them and participate to learn something during my class. They will also be interested in the class.And then I am go
6、ing to talk about teaching key and difficult points.It is important that students are able to know and master the words and sentence patterns. The difficulty is how to use words and sentence patterns into real life to express their own hobbies.Next Ill talk about teaching methods. My teaching method
7、s are task-based approach and situational approach. Using different methods can make the class active.Lets move on to another part teaching aims. There are knowledge aims, ability aims and emotional aims. Knowledge Aims1. Learn to talk about hobbies 2. Learn some useful words and expressions: hobby,
8、 singing, dancing, reading stories, playing football, doing kung fu. And the sentence What is your hobby? I like singing.3. Listen and speak the content in Lets learn4. Further develop students listening and speaking abilities.Ability Aims Ability aims are to improve students listening and speaking
9、ability by reading and joining activities.1 To develop Ss abilities of listening and speaking.2 To train the Ss ability of working in groups.3To foster Ss abilities of communication Emotional Aims 1 To build Ss senses of good co-operation 2 To lead Ss to express their hobbies to the others.Now Im go
10、ing to talk about next part teaching aids. In this class, Ill use a ball, PPT and tape recorder to present my class. These can arouse the students interest in English.Now Ill talk about the most important part teaching procedure. New English proverb said that the students are real master. In this le
11、sson they not only English learners but also real master .So teacher should act as a guider, an organizer and a director who play a role when necessary in teaching procedure. This lesson consists of 6 steps: warming up, presentation, consolidation, homework, design of blackboard, and reflection.Step
12、1 is warming up. This class will start with an English song. Here Ill use PPT to play an English song and present the topic. Bingo for the students and Ill ask them try to follow it to sing together. By this, the students can be interested in it and pay their attention to our class easily and improv
13、e their ability of speaking. And then I will set a situation to lead Ss into the class.Step2 is presentation.(导入根据所授内容设计,可通过展示与本课有关的话题或者图片等等引出本课话题).This part will be divided into stages.The first stage is guessing time. New words, phrases and sentence patterns will be presented in this part. The sec
14、ond stage is dialogue time. In this stage, Ss will learn and role-play the content in Lets learn so as to master and use words and sentence patterns in real situation.Step 3 is consolidationIn this part, in order to consolidate the knowledge we have learned, students will work in group to do a survey and finish some exercises. It will be the most interesting part to students. Because I will leave students time to talk together.Step 4 is homework.Step 5 is blackboard designStep 6 is reflectionSo much for my lesson planning.
