As a schoolchild, Faulkner had much success early on.However, beginning somewhere in the fifth grade of his schooling, Faulkner began to play hooky（逃学） occasionally and became somewhat indifferent to his schoolwork.,A

5、he got a job at a bookstore so that he could read many works from Hawthorne, Mark Twain and so on.
