21、n the semester with 10 points in this category. Students are expected to attend all classes10and be adequately prepared for each class. This includes bringing the textbook to class. Marks will be deducted if the student is not in class or does not have his/her textbook in class. Students are expecte
22、d to actively participate in all classroom activities, including discussions, role plays, games, and listening exercises. Marks will be deducted for inattention in class.Homework, unit tests and dictation, group and individual presentationsThis has yet to be determined because, at the time of this w
23、riting, the teacher has not received instruction on how to use the new textbook and related website. There will be several quizzes and dictations, ongoing homework assignments, and several group and individual presentations during the semester. These will be graded and the marks compiled to equal 50
24、% of the final grade.50Final ExamOral: There will be two oral exams, weighted at 10% each. (1) Students will be examined individually to test their pronunciation. (2) Students will each participate in one major group presentation during the semester.Listening: 20% Students will listen to passages an
25、d complete multiple choice, fill in the blank, and dictation questions based upon the passages.
