4、 be used to refer to all animals,regardless of their species or classification.Generalization of common nounsCommon nounCountable noun A noun that can be used with numbers or other counting devices to indicate individual items.It has a plural form to indicate more than one item,such as dog,cat,or ap
5、ple.Plural form of countable nouns The plural form of countable nouns is usually formed by adding an-s or-es suffix,such as dogs or cats.However,there are exceptions to this rule,such as knife becoming knives.Countable nounUncountable noun A noun that cannot be used with numbers or other counting de
