1、1 Unit 6 I m going to study computer science.Section A 2a 2d Good afternoon,ladies and gentlemen!It s my pleasure to be here to share my teaching designs and ideas with you.My topic is Section A 2a2d of Unit 6 Im going to study computer science in Grade 8.I d like to analyze this lesson in 6 parts.A
2、s you can see,they are Analysis of the Teaching Material,Analysis of the Ss;Analysis of the Teaching Methods;Students learning strategies;Teaching Procedures and Blackboard Design.Let s begin with Part 1 Analysis of the Teaching Material.It s divided into 3 parts,No.1 Status and FunctionThe topic of
3、 this unit isto talk about the jobs and make the future plans.All the teaching activities are carried out around the topic of future intentions.Students will learn to use general questions,and other language functions to talk about the future plans.This lesson aims to create a relaxing,happy and com
4、municative environment.We ll train students the ability of the usage of knowledge by listening,speaking,reading and writing.Section A 2a 2d is the second period of this unit.The Ss have had a basic understanding of the new grammar:Simple Future Tense.This class will learn some vocabularies about job
5、s and somebody wants to be in the future.And it s helpful for Ss to learn the next part.No.2Teaching Goals As a teacher,I must know the aims before I teach them.It includes three parts.First,Knowledge goals,in this lesson,Ss are required to grasp some new 2 words and phrases.They also should grasp t
6、he target languages by using be going to and wh-questions.Next,Ability goals.In this lesson,students will use the target languages to talk about what people are going to do in the future and their own dreams correctly.They should also master some phrases,like make sure,be sure about and so on.So I l
7、l mainly develop students abilities of listening and speaking.As for Emotional goals.When Ss talk about the future inventions,we ll not only guide them to experience,practice,cooperation and communication to improve their understanding,but also cultivate Ss interests of learning English and encourag
8、e them to take part in the after-school activities to achieve their dreams.No.3 Important and difficult points.Since there are a few new words and phrases in this period,to understand all of them seems very important.Of course,the most difficult for students to do is to talk about what people are go
9、ing to do and how to achieve their dreams.Maybe Ss will easily make mistakes about be going to do.So I will make examples and then give them more chances to practice,so that they can communicate with others by using the target language freely.Ok.that s all for Part 1.Let s focus on Ss.Next,Part 2 An
10、alysis of the students As a teacher,I deeply know that,if I want to teach my students well,I must know them well first.The students in Grade Eight are interested in learning English,in this period,they ll talk about their dreaming jobs,so it s exciting.But they also have some difficulties.They hope
11、to get praise and encouragement from others.So I try to give them more chances and let them take part in the activities to enjoy the feeling of success.3 Different teachers,different teaching methods.Now let s come to next part:Part 3 Teaching Methods.In my lesson,I will adopt“5P”teaching mode.They
12、give students chances to learn by doing.Task-based Language Teaching will be adopted,too,which focuses on both knowledge and the learning process.And in order to make my lesson lively and interesting,I will also use Game,Competition and Multi-media teaching method to arouse Ss interests.To present t
13、he content on the screen is convenient and it is much easier for the students to learn and grasp the meanings.You know,teachers have teaching methods,of course,students have learning methods.Well,let s go on with Part 4 learning strategies,in this lesson,Ss will listen and talk about the future inve
14、ntions.I prefer to cultivate Ssabilities of studying,imitating and cooperating to find out the rules of Simple Future Tense.They can use the target languages by taking an active part in the class activities and cooperating with others.Part 5 Teaching Procedures.A good teaching design is half success
15、 of the lesson.Now let s share myteaching procedures.Here are 7 steps for the lesson.Step 1 Preparation First,greet Ss as usual,then divide the class into 6 groups,judge them by pronunciation,speed,presentation,group study and the result.Each time they present well,they ll get a.First,ask them to lo
16、ok at the screen and review I m going to be .I m going to do .Then,give them chance to practice.Then,the pictures flash quickly,the Ss say about them by using the given sentences.I believe through the pictures and competition will warm up their eyesight and their interests in English learning.It wil
17、l also get ready for the following steps.4 Step 2 Presentation After warming up,I ll show the picture of Nie Haisheng.He is our model,so Ss will show their great interest to study and talk about their own dreams like that.I ll give an example.Im good at math,so Im going to be a pilot.I m going to ke
18、ep on studying hard.I m going to work in Beijing.I m going to fly to the space,but I m not sure about that.From this part,Ss will know that great dreams make a great man,and they also know how to achieve his own dream.Next,I ll give them a guessing game.Ss use the wh-questions to talk about it.In th
19、is way,the new words and the target languages may be presented naturally.This step can enlarge Ss vocabularies and after the wh-questions can sweep away the difficulties for new knowledge points.Step 3 Listening Practice This step provides listening practice by using the target language.Before liste
20、ning,let students look at pictures carefully.Let them have a good listening habit,this skill will help students get good grades.Play the tape once,let students check the box.It s easy for them.Next,play the tape again,let students complete the chart.It s a little difficult,so the tape should be stop
21、ped if necessary.Then,finish the blanks by the typescripts.Last,finish the conversation according to the listening.In this step,let students listen 3 times in order to improve their listening skills by getting the key points.Step 4 Pairwork(half-controlled task)After the listening,I ll give student
22、more speaking practice by using the wh-questions.First,some pictures are showed on the screen,Ill ask students to 5 work in pairs to make a conversation by using the sentence structures as following:(Ss can choose any picture they like)-What is he/she going to be?-He/She is-How is he/she going to do
23、 that?-He/She is-Where is he/she going to work?-He/She is-When is he/she going to start?-He/She is At last,I ll show a picture of Mo Yan,who is the first Chinese writer to get the Nobel Prize.And ask how to be a great writer?2d will give us the answers.This step provides the meaningful practice whic
24、h is related to students daily life.It s also helpful for them to finish the next task:Role-play in 2d.So students can be more confident when they take part in this activity.Step 5 Production(Role-play)First,read for the first time quickly,feel the conversation and answer the questions.It s easy for
25、 them.Second,underline some important phrases.There re some difficult sentences there,so some Chinese explanation is necessary.Third,Ss use other vocabularies to change the blanks to make new conversations.In fact,“input”aims to“output”.So in this step,the students will use the target languages to d
26、o something in the real life.The aim of this part is learning by doing.Step 6 Progress(summary and judge)This step will help Ss summarize what they have learned in this lesson.It s easy to remember the rules of Simple Future Tense.Step 7 Homework As for homework,I ll ask Ss to do some exercises.The
27、homework will 6 help students to have a self-check about what they have done well and what they are poor in.Part 6 is about my blackboard design,as you can see,I put all the new words on the left of the bb,and the important sentences are on the right.So that,students can see clearly and understand the important points easily.That s all for my teaching design.Thank you so much for listening.
