1、名词性从句 名词性从句相当于名词,可分别作主句的主语、表语、宾语和同位语。因此,名词性从句厅分为主语从句、表语从句、宾语从句和同位从句。(一)引导名词性从句的连接词 1、连接代词:who,whose,whom,what,which。有词义,在从句中担当成分,如主语、表语、宾语、或定语等。2、连接副词:when,where,why,how。有词义,在从句中担当成分,作状语。3、连接词:that,whether,if,as if。that 无词义,在从句中不担当成分,有时可省略;if(whether),as if 虽有词义,但在从句中不担当成分。留意:连接代词及连接副词在句中不再是疑问句,因此从句

2、中谓语不用疑问式。连接代词及连接副词在从句充当句子成分,连接词 whether 和if(是否),as if(好象)在从句中不充当句子成分,只起连接作用。依据句义,假如连接代词及连接副词,whether、if 和 as if 都用不上时,才用 that 作连接词(that 本身无任何含义)。(二)主语从句 1、主语从句在复合句作主语。e.g.Who will go is not important.2、用 it 作形式主语,主语从句放在句末。e.g.It doesnt matter so much whether you will come or not.3、that 引导主语从句时,不能省略。

3、e.g.That he suddenly fell ill last week made us surprised.(三)表语从句 1、表语从句在复合句中作表语,位于系动词之后。e.g.The question was who could go there.2、引导表语从句的连接词 that 有时可省去。e.g.My idea is(that)we can get more comrades to help in the work.(四)宾语从句 1、宾语从句在复合句中作宾语。引导宾语从句的连词 that 一般可省略。e.g.I hope(that)everything is all righ

4、t.2、介词之后的宾语从句,不行用 which 或 if 连接,要分别用 what或 whether。e.g.Im interested in whether youve finished the work.Im interested in what youve said.3、whether 及 if 都可以引导宾语从句,常可互换。但下面状况不能互换。宾语从句是否认句时,只用 if,不用 whether。e.g.I wonder if it doesnt rain.用 if 会引起误会,就要用 whether。e.g.Please let me know whether you want to

5、 go.(此句假如把whether改成 if,简单当成条件句理解)宾语从句中的 whether 及 or not 干脆连用,就不能换成 if;不干脆连用,可换。e.g.I dont know whether or not the report is true.I dont know whether/if the report is true or not.介词后的宾语从句要用 whether 引导。whether 可及不定式连用。whether也可引导主语从句、表语从句、同位语从句,还可引导让步状语从句,以上均不能换成 if。但引导条件从句时,只能用 if,而不能用whether。e.g.It

6、 depends on whether we have enough time.They dont know whether to go there.Please come to see me if you have time.(五)同位语从句 同位语从句在句中作某一名词的同位语,一般位于该名词(如:news,fact,idea,suggestion,promise 等)之后,说明该名词的具体内容。e.g.I have no idea when he will be back.The fact that he had not said anything surprised everybody.

34、词性从句,把充当主语、表语、宾语或同位语的从句分别称为主语从句、表语从句、宾语从句或同位语从句。也 就是说充当什么成分就叫什么从句。名词性从句由连接词(或关联词)引导。常用的连接词有 疑问词(who,whom,whose,what,which,where,why,when,how)可以引导主语、宾语和表语从句。它们的特点是:1、疑问词有本身的词义;2、疑问词在从句中担当句子成分,如主语、宾语或状语;3、这种疑问词引导的从句一律用陈述语序,不能用疑问语序。Do you know whom they are looking for?你知道他们在找谁吗?(宾语从句,陈述语序。不能是 whom are

39、语序,不能是What do I want to know.Where he has gone for his weekend 是表语从句,where 在从句中作状语,从句用陈述语序,不能是 where has he gone for his weekend.)下面我们再分别讲解并描述主语从句、宾语从句、同位语从句和表语从句。一、主语从句 1that 引导主语从句时,that 没有意义,但不能省略。(that 引导宾语从句时可以省略。)It worried her a bit that her hair was turning gray.她的头发正在变白,这使她很担忧。that 引导主语从句,i

40、t 作形式主语,that 不能省略。That she is a rich woman is known to us all.众所周知,她是个富有的女人。这是 that 引导主语从句,that 不能省略。这句话可以改为用 it 作形式主语的句型。请同学们改写:It is known to us all that she is a rich woman.We didnt know(that)you had sold your house.我们不知道你已经把你的房子卖了。这是 that 引导宾语从句,that 可以省略。留意这句话的时态。2从句作主语时,多数状况下由 it 作形式主语,而把主语从句放

42、宾语从句,但 if 不能引导主语从句。whether 后面可以加 or not 而 if 不能及 or not 连用。作介词宾语时不用 if.如:Whether I knew John doesnt matter.=It doesnt matter whether I knew John.我是否相识约翰没有关系 Whether or not shell come isnt clear.=Whether shell come or not isnt clear.=It isnt clear whether她是否来还不清晰 It all depends on whether we can get

43、their cooperation.这是主语从句还是宾语从句?it 是形式主语吗?it 是代词,whether 引导的是宾语从句,作介词 on 的宾语,不能用 if 引导。请翻译这句话。这完全取决于我们是否能得到他们的合作 I worry about whether I hurt her feelings.宾语从句,介词宾语,不能用 if 引导。请翻译这句话。She asked me whether/if you were married.宾语从句,既可以用 whether,又可以用 if 引导。留意时态的对应。It remains to be seen whether the ex-pres

48、位语从句的名词有 fact,news,idea,truth,hope,suggestion,question,problem,doubt,fear,belief 等。同位语从句常用的引导词为 that,有是也用 when,where 等疑问词 The news that the United States was hit by terrorist attacks took the whole world by surprise.美国受到恐惧主义分子攻击的消息令全世界惊讶 The idea that you can do this work well without thinking is qu

49、ite wrong.你认为不动脑筋就能做好这件工作的想法是完全错误的 People used to hold the belief that the earth was the center of the universe.人们曾认为地球是宇宙的中心 The difficulty lies in the fact that we are short of money.困难在于我们缺乏资金这个事实 They have no idea at all where he has gone.他们一点儿也不知道他去哪儿了 留意:同位语从句的 that 只是引导词,没有其他语法作用,在句子中不作句子成分,不
