3、elp the victims.First aid is emergency care for a victim of sudden illness or injury until for skillful medical treatment is available.First aid may save a life or improve certain vital signs including pulse,temperature,an unobstructed airway,and breathing.In minor emergencies,first aid may prevent

5、ry and loss of life.First aid measures depend upon a victims needs and the providers level of knowledge and skill.Knowing what not to do in an emergency is as important as knowing what to do.Improperly moving a person with a neck injury,for example,can lead to permanent spinal injury and paralysis.F
6、irst aid requires rapid assesssment of victims to determine whether life-threatening condition exist.One method for evaluating a victims condition is known by the acronym ABC,which stand for:Aairway:Is it open and unobstructed?BBreathing:Is the person breathing?Look,listen,and feel for breathing.CCi
7、rculation:Is there a pulse?Is the person bleeding externally?Check skin color and temperature for additional indications of circulation problems.3.Having the correct method of first aid is so important.1ShockPeople often suffer from shock after receiving an injury;sometimes evern the injury is a sma
8、ll one.The face turns grey,and the skin becomes damp and cold.They breathe quickly.They should be kept warm.Cover them with a blanket and give them a warm drink.2Broken Bones:Dont move the person.Send for an ambulance at once.Treat for shock if necessary.3Drowninga drowning person will have his lung
