1、Good morning, dear teacher. It s my great honor to be here to give a lesson plan presentation.Now let me introduce my lesson plan from the following perspectives: the analysis of the teaching material, teaching objectives, key and difficult points, teaching procedures and blackboard design.To begin

2、with, lets look at the teaching material of this lesson. This lesson is chosen from 8B Unitl Past and Present. It is about the changes in Sunshine Town. After learning, the students are able to talk about the changes around them. The content is familiar to them and they will be interested in the top

3、ic. The study of this lesson will improve their reading abilities and communication skills.Next, the analysis of teaching objectives will be discussed. Based on the student-centered approach and the New Curriculum Standard, as a reading lesson, the following teaching objectives are designed correspo

4、nding to the teaching material and the students.1 The first one is knowledge objectives.At the end of the lesson, students can master the usage of the important words and expressions, such as married, block, factory, realize, from time to time and so on.The students can use the phrases “used to do s

5、th. spend time/money (in) doing/ on sth. in the proper situation. And can master the usages of the present perfect tense.The students can understand the content of the lesson, talk about the changes and get their own idea about them.The second one is ability objectives. Students abilities of listeni

6、ng, speaking, and reading, especially their skimming and scanning ability to find the specific information in the passage will be developed. Cultivate students ability to interview others and establish relationships between past and present events. Moreover, they will also be able to study by themse

7、lves and cooperate with their classmates. The third one is emotional objectives.By the end of the class, students will be more attentive to the changes in things around them and recognize the beauty of their hometown and be aware of protecting the environment.Next part, let me deal with the key and

8、difficult points. The key points are to master the new words and sentence patterns of this lesson, the difficult point is to describe the changes with the proper logic and well-organized language.And then here comes the most important part-teaching procedures, which will be demonstrated in the 5 ste

9、ps:The first step is lead-in(5mins). At the beginning of the class, I am going to show some pictures about the past and the present, and then I will invite some of the students to talk about the differences between them. Also, I will ask students how long they have lived in their present home, what

10、changes have taken place in the surrounding environment, whether they are satisfied with such living environment, and why? After thinking for a moment, I will randomly call several students to answer. This kind of brainstorming will develop students minds and focus their attention, and today s topic

11、 naturally comes out.Step 2: Pre-reading(lOmins)I will introduce the changes in my hometown, with pictures and illustrations, and explain the new words of this lesson in advance, which will help students to read and understand the text later, and at the same time lead out the text to be taught.Step

12、3: While-reading(20mins)This step will be divided into two parts. The first part is extensive reading. Students should read the passage quickly and try to find out What s style of this text and What s the topic of the whole text. This activity can cultivate the students ability of skimming. And next

13、 is intensive reading. I will lead the students to read and explain the content of the text carefully, help them master the new words and new sentence patterns. According to the content, the article is divided into three parts, after each part, they will have a consolidation exercise. After finishin

14、g the text, I will invite some of the students to read the text one by one with their deskmates. Finally, they have to complete the exercises in the book and this will check if they were actually listening and whether they really master what they have learnt. Using different reading skills can enabl

15、e students to understand the given material better and proper competition can arouse the students interest in English learning.Step 4: Post reading(lOmins)I will ask the students to sum up what has changed in Sunshine Town and think about what other changes do they know. Give some hints and show the

16、 students the changes in childrens recreational activities. Finally, ask them to think and discuss their feelings about the differences between past and now with other group members and then choose a reporter to share their opinions with the whole class. I think if the Ss can finish this task well,

17、they will benefit a lot in their spoken language.Step5: HomeworkThe first assignment will help students to consolidate what they have learnt. And the second one will encourage them to use language to communicate with others.Homework is important for the Ss to master the knowledge they learned after

18、class as it will check whether the Ss achieve the teaching aims, so it is very necessary.The final part is the blackboard design. As you can see, my blackboard design is as behind. I just wrote the key words, expressions and structures on the blackboard so that the students can grasp the key points and overcome the difficult points. To stimulate the students interest and let them have a visual memory of the words, I did some simple drawings to illustrate the words.Thats all for my teaching design. Thanks for listening!
