5、epermits,ask the students to retell the text in class;if not,leave it as homework.GrammarGrammar in this module is the revision of modal verbs.This part can be led in by doing someexercises ofmodal verbs.In this part,well revisetheusage ofmodal verbs,such ascan,could,must,have to,should,etc.Modal ve
6、rbs are important and difficult English grammar pointsand it is rather confusing.Ask the students to paymuch attention to them.In this part,we ll dealwith four activities.First,do some true or false questions in Activity 2 to know how much thestudents know about modal verbs.In activity 1,the teacher
7、 ask the students to complete thesentences from the passage and then answer the five questions given.After that,in Activity 3,askthe students choose the correct answers.Seven sentences are designed.Then,do a further practicebased on Activity 3.ListeningThis is a short listening.The listening materia
8、l is not long and only two activities aredesigned.Before listening,the teacher can divide the students into groups of six.Let each of themdescribe one picture with one or two sentences and guess where the speakers are.By doingthis,teach the students how to predict the content of listening.In Activit
9、y 1,listen to the tape andcheck where the speakers are.In Activity 2,six pictures are given.After listening,tick the things youcan do on a classic Three Gorges Cruise.It aims to train the students ability of grasp detailedinformation.FunctionThe function in this module is talking about obligation,pe
