She looked at Debbie and Simon 她看着戴比和西蒙【用法】look在本句中用作不及物动词,意为“看;望”,与at连用,表示“看着;望着”,后面要接宾语。(2)look用作连系动词, 意为“看起来”,其后可接形容词或过去分词。2.Whats the matter? 怎么了?【用法】本句是日常用语,常翻译为“怎么了?;怎么回事?”,如果要明确询问具体某个人的情况,在matter后加上with sb.即可。可与句型Whats the trouble / wrong with sb.?
10、互换使用。 Whats the matter with him? = Whats the trouble with him? = Whats wrong with him? 他怎么啦?3. People always choose Debbie instead of me. 人们总是选择戴比而不是我。【用法】(1)instead of用作介词短语放在句中,意为“取而代之;代替”。其后若接动词,要用动词的-ing形式。(2)instead单独使用时用作副词,也是“取而代之;代替”之意,但常放在句末。 instead单独使用时还有“反而;却”之意。4.
