It tells us that the local population depend on tourism for welfare. The second sentence contains a restrictive relative clause. It defines its antecedent in the

12、main clause more specifically and makes a difference to the meaning of the sentence. It implies that these industries give jobs only to the people whose welfare depends on tourism, but not to those who do not depend on tourism.4. Have students read the following sentences and identify what which“ re
