3、al Major, designated for undergraduate students of economics (including finance) by the Economics Education Steering Committee of Ministry of Education. This course need the students learn theory through real life practice in order to analyze financial issues happening in both domestic and abroad. T
4、hrough studying this course, the students are expected to master the basic knowledge of economics of money and banking, and to analysis real life money and banking phenomena. The following basic knowledge includes in the course: money and its role, finance definition, the origin of banking, commerci
5、al banking, central banking, investment banking or security firms, credit and interest, financial markets, deposit and Ioan, future, options, swap, forward, mutual fund, pricing theory of benchmark financial products, stock and bond, banking crisis, financial stability, inflation and deflation, mone
6、y demand and money supply, monetaiy policy, foreign exchange and exchange rates, international financial and monetary institutions. As a basic discipline course, The Economics of Money, Banking, and Financial Markets (EMBFM) will provide an introduction to the fields of money, banking, and financial
7、 markets. The students will be able to develop a basic framework for understanding those topics such as the money, banking and financial markets. The main goal is that they are well prepared for the study of the follow-up specialization courses, or for their future career. In addition, the students
