22、e sessions.In my or igina l pla n,ever y gr ou p in one tu tor ia l needed to do a pr esenta tion a nd their pa r tner gr ou p wou ld comment on it.However,when I r a n the tu tor ia ls the time went so fa st,especia lly when the two gr ou ps ha d a fr u itfu l discu ssion of some issu es.It wa s ve
23、r y good to ha ve this kind of conver sa tion ha ppening,b u t the tu tor ia l needed to b e finished within 1 hou r.This b eca me too ha r d when ther e wer e 6 gr ou ps in one tu tor ia l.I wa s for ced to cha nge the str a tegy a nd select 3 gr ou ps only to do the pr esenta tion.The key thing I
24、lea r ned fr om stu dents feedb a ck is tha t to ma ke lea r ning ha ppen it is not necessa r y to“tea ch”.Ther e wa s no element of“tr a ditiona l”tea ching,i.e.the tea cher sta nding in fr ont of the cla ss a nd ta lking.Honestly,I ex pected some stu dent compla ints a b ou t this b lended lea r n
25、ing e-tivity.The whole design focu sed on ma king stu dents do things b y themselves,i.e.cr ea te the ca se,set u p the qu estions,stu dy other s ca se,a nswer qu estions,pr esent idea s.Fr om the feedb a ck collected,I fou nd ou t tha t su r pr isingly ma ny stu dents sa id tha t they ca n lea r n
26、mor e b y lea r ning in this lea r ner-centr ed wa y.Some of them even think it s a mu ch b etter wa y of lea r ning!I m so ex cited a nd inspir ed to hea r su ch comments,ma king me mor e confident of my tea ching philosophy:tea ch less,lea r n mor e!In my ex per ience,the most impor ta nt thing fo
27、r condu cting a n e-tivity is to design ca r efu lly a nd in a s mu ch deta il a s possib le.It s a new wa y to deliver lea r ning a nd tea ching,so the whole thing is differ ent.The time in cla ss is now not in y ou r contr ol,b u t depends on the inter a ction a mong stu dents.Differ ent gr ou ps
