1、精选学习资料 - - - - - - - - - 强调句“强调 ”就是使句子的某一部分比一般情形下显得更加重要；英语表达中,要强调句子的某一成分, 一般可用强调句型“It is was +that who + 句子的其余部分”；It 在句中无意义, 只起引出被强调部分的作用；被强调的部分指人时,除可用 that 外,仍可换用 who（强调宾语指人时也可用 whom）；使用强调句型时,应留意以下事项：一、去掉强调结构 It is was thatwho 后,剩下的词仍能组成一个完整的句子；这是判定是不是强调句型的关键；试比较：1. It is strange that he didnt come
2、 yesterday.2. It is you and Tom that didnt come yesterday.1. It is what you do rather than what you say _matters. （05 天津） A .that B. what C. which D. this 去掉强调结构, 剩下的是What you do rather than what 答案 A；这是一个强调主语的强调句型,you say matters. 表意完整；2. That was really a splendid evening. It s years _I enjoyed my

6、的强调句型简单看出,但要留意它的变体；假如把该题变换一下语序：it is what that makes him so excited, 不难看出这是强调句型的特别疑问句形式,强调了疑问代词 what,由于 wonder 后宾语从句,故用了陈述语序；2. 7、nifer didnt realize she had lost her keys until she got home. 要强调时间状语until she got home ,这时要把主句中的否定词not 放在- - - - - - -精选学习资料 - - - - - - - - - was 之后；四、 强调主语时, that 或 who 后面的谓语动词的形式仍旧取决于原句中的主语；be 的变化只有 is 和 was 两种形式,假如要表示现在时将来时的其它各种形式时,就用 It is , 表达过去时的各种形式时,用 It was .一般要与谓语动词的时态一样；如：1. It is I who
8、/ that am an English teacher. 2. It is the boy who/ that speaks English best in theclass. 3. It was on Sunday that he gave George this ticket. 4. It is the little girl who/ that has broken the glass. 五、在复习中有可能把 It is/ was that 句式都误认为是强调句型的几种情形：1、把具有实际意义的指示代词 it 后面接 is/was that误认为是强调句式；- Where did yo
9、u get to know her. （07 山东）- It was on the farm _ we worked. Athat Bthere Cwhich D . where 答案 D；该句易误作强调句型,所以 A 是强干扰项；这里 where we worked 是定语从句,修饰 the farm；It 指“与她相识 ”这件事；该题很简单受思维定势的影响而拒绝选 D,由于平日教学老师一再强调,用强调句型时即使强调地点状语,也不能用 where 而用 that；该句假如要用 it was that强调句型的话,可改写为“It was on the farm where we worked
10、that I got to know her.”2、把 it 指时间、天气、距离、环境等后接be 的情形误以为是强调句型； It was twenty miles from our city to the village _the accident happened. A. that B. when C. then D. where It 表示距离, where 引导地点状语答案 D；此题貌似It was that强调句型,其实不然；句中从句；3、把 It is/ was that 结构的主语从句误认为是强调句型；The Foreign Minister said, “_our hope th

It is 答案 D；假如选 A 和 C,指示代词 This 和 That 在句中找不出指代的内容,选 B 意义不通； 故选 D；虽然选 It is 后题干中显现了 It is that结构,但这不是强调句型；很明显,题干中的 that从句应是主语从句,所缺的是形式主语； _ is our belief that improvements in health care will lead to a stronger,

It （06 浙江）答案 D；假如去掉 It is that, 中间的 our belief 就无法处理, 因此该句不是强调句型,而是一个复合句, It 是形式主语, that 引导真正主语；强调句型 It is/ was that/ who 主要用来强调句子的主语、宾语、状语或表语；假如要强调谓语动词 ,应当用代动词 do 及其变形 does 或 did ,这三种形式常用在谓语动词之前,以加强语气；它一般只能强调现在时与过去时；如： I do wish I could. 我真期望我能； He
