7、p10.across;through;towards单元核心语法点同位语从句同位语从句 一、 具体定义在复合句中用作同位语的从句叫同位语从句,常常跟在fact, idea, opinion, news, hope, belief等名词后面,用以说明该名词表示的具体内容,可以由名词、代词、短语及句子来充当同位语从句。二、用法1、从先行词来看同位语从句与名词之间该名词是需要做特殊说明的名词如idea, fact, news, hope, belief, suggestion, word, thought, doubt, truth, possibility, promise, order等有一定内

8、涵的名词They were delighted at the news that their team had won.当听到他们的球队赢了的消息时,他们欣喜若狂。2、同位语从句的功能与性质同位语从句是名词从句,其作用相当于一个名词,对前面抽象名词的进一步的说明和解释。The news that our team has won the game was true. 我们队赢了那场比赛的消息是真的。(补充说明news到底是一个什么消息?)3、从引导词that来看引导词that在同位语从句中是连词,只起连接作用,无具体词义,that不可省略The news that he will leave

9、for Shanghai is true.他将要去上海的消息是真的.(that只起连接从句的作用,所以此句是同位语从句)4、引导词担当成分时的省略引导定语从句的关联词在从句中作宾语或状语时,可以省略或被其他词代替;介词+which同位语从句的引导词一般不能省略,更不能被代替,试比较:(1)The news that she heard is false. 她听到的消息是假的.(2)The news that she will go abroad is false. 她将出国这消息是假的.例(1)是定语从句,that可省略;例(2)是同位语从句,that不能省略。同位语从句与定语从句区别: 1.

10、 从词类上区别 同位语从句前面的名词只能是idea, fact, news, hope, belief, suggestion, proposal, word, thought, doubt, truth, possibility, promise, order等有一定内涵的名词,而定语从句的先行词可以是名词,代词,主句的一部分或是整个主句。 He told me the news that he would come home from aboard soon. Word came that he had been abroad. 据说他已经出国了。 Our team has won the

11、 game, which made us very happy. 我们的队赢了, 这让我们很高兴。 (定语从句) 2.从性质上区别 定语从句是从句对其先行词的修饰或限制,属于形容词性从句的范畴;而同位语从句是从句对前面抽象名词的进一步的说明和解释,属于名词性从句的范畴,如: The news that our team has won the game was true. 我们队赢了那场比赛的消息是真的。 (同位语从句, 补充说明news到底是一个什么消息) The news that he told me yesterday was true. 昨天他告诉我的那个消息是真的。 (定语从句,

12、news在从句中作told的宾语) 3. 从引导词及其在句子中的成分上区别 有些引导词如how, whether, what 可以引导同位语从句, 但不能引导定语从句。如: That question whether we need it has not been considered. 我们是否需要它这个问题还没有考虑。 (同位语从句) 引导词that引导定语从句时, 在从句中一般作主语或宾语 (指物时还可以用which代替), 并且作宾语时常常省略,that在同位语从句中仅起连接作用, 不充当任何成分, 并且不能省略, 也不能用which来代替,如: The order that we s

13、hould send a few people to help the other groups was received yesterday. 我们应派几个人去帮别的几个小组的命令昨天收到了。 (同位语从句, 是对order的具体解释, that虽不作成分, 但不能省略) The order that we received yesterday was that we should send a few people to help the other groups. 我们昨天收到的命令是我们应该派几个人去帮助别的几个小组。 (定语从句, 是名词order的修饰语, that在从句中作rec

14、eived的宾语, 可以省略) Practice判断同位语从句与定语从句1.The news that there are no lives on the moon is known to us all.( )2.The news that you heard is not true. ( )3.Have you any idea who he went with? ( )4.Is there any hope that they will be home in time? ( )5.The problem that you referred to doesnt exist at all. (

15、 )同位语从句的常见结构(一)由that引导eg. I have no doubt that he will overcome all this difficulties. 我毫不怀疑他能跨越所有的困难。(二)由whether引导eg.The question whether they will help us is still confused me. 我依然疑惑他们是否会帮我们。(三)由其他词引导的同位语从句eg.I have not made up my mind what elective subjects I am to take next term. 我还没有决定好下学期上哪些选修

16、课。 When you are about halfway through the story, try to make a guess how the plot will develop. 当你把故事读到一半时,猜测一下情节将如何发展。(四)同位语从句与被修饰名词的分割:有时,为了保持句式的平衡,将同谓语从句与被修饰的名词分割,其间出现其他成分。eg.Concerns were raised that the law might have no power to punish these muderers who have money or status. 人们日益担心法律或许无法制裁那些有
