Crossing the River to School过河上学【归纳】cross, across与crossingcross, 动词,意为“横过;越过(横穿)across, 介词或副词,意为“横过”crossing,名词,意为“十字路口”e.g. We cant play mobile phones when we cross (= go across) the
8、street.过马路时我们不能玩手机。Turn right at the second crossing. 在第二个十字路口向右转。2.For many students ,it is easy to get to school. 对于许多学生来说到达学习是容易的。【归纳】(1)表示“多”的意思,可用many, much, a lot of, lots of 等。many修饰可数名词复数,表许多。much修饰不可数名词,表量或程度。e.g. here are many apple in the bag.(2)It is + adj. (for sb.) to do sth. (对某人来说)干某
9、事是e.g. It is dangerous for children to swim in that river.3. There is a very big river between their school and the village.在他们学校和村庄之间有一条很大的河。【归纳】betweenand为固定短语,连接两个并列的成分。其中between作介词,用于两者之间,也可用于三者或三者以上的两两之间。e.g. There is a ball between his feet.4. You are very good at telling stories! 你非常擅长讲故事。4.T
10、here is no bridge and the river runs too quickly for boats. (河上)没有桥,而且河水流得太急,不宜于小船(摆渡)。【归纳】no此处作形容词来修饰名词,既可修饰可数名词,也可修饰不可数名词。修饰单数可数名词时,no相当于not a(an)。修饰可数名词复数或不可数名词时,no 相当于not any。5.But he is not afraid. 但是他不害怕。【归纳】afraid形容词,意为“还怕;畏惧”,常在句子做表语,不能做定语。其常用到如下:be afraid to do sth. 害怕 做某事be afraid of sth.
11、/ sb. 怕某事/某人be afraid of v -ing 怕 做某事e.g. I am afraid of tigers.6.Hes like a father to me.他对我像父亲一样。【归纳】like 在这里作介词,表“像;类似”。e.g. The dog looks like a wolf.也可作动词,表“喜欢;爱好”7.Can their dream come true? 他们的梦想会成为现实吗?【归纳】意为“希望、梦想实现;成为现实e.g. Finally, his dream comes true.【课后作业】完成Unit 3 How do you get to school?
