40、p1 Revisionthe points learnt in the reading part by checking thehomework.some sentences by translating them into Chinese.Step2 Presentations.Step2 Presentations.Main and Subordinate Clauses(主从句)名词性从句(主语从句、宾语从句、同位语从句、表语从句)引导词的分类:1.连接代词:what,who,whom,whose,which,whatever,whoever,whichever,且这些词在从句中担当主、

41、宾、表、定语作用。2.连接副词:why,when,where,how 在从句中充当时间、地点、原因、方式、程度状语。Whether,if 在从句中不充当成分,但整个句式中不可缺少,用以体现事件的不确定性。是名词从句中一个很活泼的词,但它只起连接作用,不充当成分,陈述某一事实,引导宾语从句时某些情况可以省略。4.that,whether,if 在名词从句中的使用情况(1)that 在宾语从句中大多数情况下可以省略,在主要从句、同位语从句、表语从句中不可省去。但注意一下宾语从句中 that 不可省。I know nothing of him except that he is from Henan

42、.(介词短语从句中的 that 不可省)(2)whether,if 宾语从句中有时可换用,但在主语从句、同位语从句、表语从句中不可省去。但注意以下宾语从句中不能用 if 的情况:It all depends on whether they will support us.(从句作介词宾语时不可用 if)He doesnt know whether to stay or not.(后直接跟不定式时,不能用 if)Please let me know if you like it.(这句是有双重意思的,如果视为宾语从句,就应换为 whether,否则就引起歧义)二、定语从句三、状语从句(一)时间状

43、语从句When,while,as,before,after,since,till/until,once,every/each time,the first/second.time,whenever(二)原因状语从句as,since,because,now that 等引导。(三)地点状语从句Where,wherever;注意不要和 where 所引起的定语从句弄混淆。(四)条件状语从句If,unless,so(as)long as,so far as,in case注意从句中不能出现将来时的形式。(五)让步状语从句Although(though),even if(though),however
