2、ily against the windows.2He finally fell asleep when the wind was dying down at around 3:00 am.【能力目标】掌握快速阅读及抓取关键信息的能力。【情感目标】培养学生在灾害面前团结,互帮互助的意识。教学重难点重点:1.掌握重点词汇和短语。2.复习、运用过去进行时。难点:1.培养学生的阅读能力和技巧。2.区分when和while。教法学法小组合作学习;分组讨论归纳。Step 1自主学习【新词自查】根据句意及首字母提示完成句子。1The weather report_ says it is going to

4、oing when it happened?Questions:T:What were you doing whenhappened?S:I was listening to music.I was doing my homework.I was riding a bike.设计意图:学生通过回顾自己所经历的一些重要事情及当时自己在干什么,巩固了对过去进行时的理解,从而激发学生的学习兴趣,自然而然引入新课。Step 3完成教材3a3b的任务1快速阅读短文,找出3a中的两个问题的答案,完成后让学生展示答案,教师点拨。2认真阅读短文,根据短文内容完成3b中的句子,请几名学生到黑板上展示答案,完成后

5、教师点拨。3再次细心阅读短文,理解每一句话的意思,小组合作解决遇到的疑难问题。4教师点拨短文中出现的重点和难点。Step 4完成教材3c的任务1让学生齐读“Although the storm broke many things apart,it brought families and neighbors closer together.”,并且背诵。2学生就3c中的问题开展讨论,以小组为单位发表观点。设计意图:在阅读理解训练中,学生更深入的理解过去进行时态的含义,并掌握其用法。【知识点拨】1feel likefeel like 表示“感觉像;摸起来像”。例句:It feels like a

6、 crystal and it shines in the sunlight.它摸起来像水晶并且在阳光下闪闪发光。【拓展】feel like 还可表示“想要”,后面通常接名词、代词和动名词。例句:Do you feel like walking by the sea with me?你想跟我一起到海边散步吗?It is perfectly normal to feel like this.有这样的感觉是完全正常的。2riserise是动词,意为“增加;提高;增强”,rise是不及物动词,不能用于被动结构,常与above,from,to等介词连用。rise 偶尔也用作系动词,后接形容词作表语,其

7、过去式为rose。例句:The sun rises in the east and sets in the west.太阳从东方升起,在西方落下。辨析:rise与raise(1)rise:意为“增加;提高;上升;升起”,作不及物动词,后面不接宾语,主语通常为物。例句:The river rose yesterday afternoon.昨天下午河水上涨了。(2)raise:意为“使升起来;提高;举起”,作及物动词,后接宾语,主语通常为人。例句:We raised our hands.我们举起了手。Step 5板书设计Section A (3a3c)Important words: storm,
