11、的“，其名词形式为patience。be patient with sb.意为对某人有耐心，be patient to do sth.意为做某事有耐心。Our teacher is very patient with us. Our English teacher is patient to explain every sentence to us.（2）patient还可作可数名词，意为”病人”。The patient is seriously ill. 3.I study English by listening to English songs.by doing sth.通过做某事此处b

19、k like 看起来像look through 浏览 look over 检查look forward to 盼望 look out 小心11.“Its a piece of cake” “It serves you right.” a piece of cake和serve sb.right 都是英语的习惯用语，也可称作习语( idiom) ，类似于汉语的成语。习语是人们在长期的语言运用中确定或形成的一种固定表达方式，所表达的意思不能从字面上去理解。Its a piece of cake.小菜一碟。It serves you right.你活该。Practice makes perfect.
20、熟能生巧。love me, love my dog 爱屋及乌Actions speak louder than words.行动胜于言辞。No pain, no gain.不劳则无获。12. so that I can have a better understanding of so that引导的目的状语从句（1）本句中，so that意为“以便，为了”，常用来引导目的状语从句，从句中常有can, could, should等情态动词。可与in order that互换。He got up early this morning so that he could catch the earl
21、y bus.= He got up early this morning in order that he could catch the early bus.（2）so that 意为“因此，所以”，引导结果状语从句，此时从句中一般不含can, could 等情态动词。Li Lei studied hard, so that he passed the exam.13.I dont know how to increase my reading speed.“疑问词 +动词不定式” 结构本句中“how to increase my reading speed”为“疑问词+动词不定式”结构，在
