Methods Forty-five SD rats were randomly divided into a normal group，a model group， an acupoint group and a control group， 15 rats in the model group and 10 rats in t
3、he rest three groups. Except the normal group， binding and cold stress methods were used to establish gastric mucosa injury model. The suspended moxibustion was applied in the acupoint group and control group at acupoints of the stomach meridian ( “Liangmen ” （ ST 21) and “Zusanli (ST 36) ) and cont
4、rol acupoints (laterally 1 cm next to the “Liangmen”（ ST 21) and “Zusanli”（ ST 36) )， once a day，consecutively for 12 days. After 12 days， morphology of gastric mucosal was observed under optical microscope; protein fingerprints of gastric mucosa cell in rats were detected by protein fingerprint tec
5、hnology, weak cation chip and weak anion chip. Also mass to charge ratio of differential proteins in groups was compared and analyzed. Results Compared with the model group， index of gastric mucosal lesion in the acupoint group was reduced and its morphology was obviously improved (P 5692 Da and 843
6、2 Da (all P IL) and Th2-type cytokine (IL-4IL0) and ratio of IFN-y to IL-4 were compared in two groups before and after treatment to analyze acupuncture effect. Results The clinical symptoms were improved after oneweek treatment in the acupuncture group (P 0. 05) which had faster onset than the medi
7、cine group (P 0. 05) . The total effective rate was 90. 48% (19/21) in the acupuncture group，which was superior to 78. 95% (15/19) in the medicine group (P 0. 05). Compared with medicine treatment ， imbalanced condition of Thl /Th2 was turning towards the direction of Th2 after acupuncture， indicati
8、ng a tendency to recover the balance. Conclusion The clinical efficacy of acupuncture for D4BS has close relationship with effectively improved balance of Thl /Th2 in patients with liver-stagnation and spleen -deficiency.
