The content of my lesson is Senior English required elective course Book 2 Unit 3 Reading and Thinking “Culture and cuisine”To begin with, I will introduce my basic tea
2、ching elements from five perspectives.1. Analysis of the basic teaching elementsAnalysis of the teaching material The lesson explores the link between food and culture from a foreigners perspective and it records some authentic Chinese food and illustrates the cultural meaning, geography features an
3、d historic tradition that the food reflects. It is aimed to lead students to understand and think about the connection between food and culture.Analysis of the studentsThe students of senior two have mastered basic reading skills. However, in face of complex vocabulary and in shortage of cross-cultu
4、ral awareness, they may find it difficult to have a good command of the passage, which means teachers guidance is extremely important.Analysis of the teaching objectivesIn order to promote the development of every student, the teaching objectives are listed in the following parts.1. Guide the studen
5、ts to read the text, sort out the information and dig out the topic.2. Understand the cultural connotation, regional characteristics and historical tradition of Chinese cuisine3. Understand and explore the relationship between food and peoples personality4. Guide the students to use the cohesive wor

As for the learning method, students will be encouraged to adopt cooperative learning method to enhance their cooperative awareness
