Warm-up1. Sing a song to greet my children. Here, I want to form a relaxing atmosph

Free talk.After having an abstract impression of the topic, we will talk freely about the familys daily life

5、with their dog to make students get well prepared for Wu Yifans diary.Whats more, I want to set a situation for the children to experience before reading.2. Read and choose.Firstly, I will let my students listen to the tape recording of the diary,then they will be asked to choose a title for the sto

6、ry. This step is to guide them to get the general idea of this diary.3. Number the pictures.And secondly,I will show three pictures for the kids to make a right order so that they can get the main ideas of the first two paragraphs .Moreover, students will get some detailed information of the diary.4

7、.Skimming and scanning.Thirdly, the children in this class will read the paragraphs one by one to get more details about the Wus story by watching a video, and by finding the answers of some questions given to them . This is to get students focused on the diary , and to develop the students ability

8、of reading by themselves.5. Make a conclusion.After analyzing the diary, my students should make a conclusion about that day. Here, I want my students to learn to summarize the ending by themselves and I also want the class to be students-centered. Step 3. Practice1. My students will read after the

9、tape recording , after that, they will read in different ways to get a deep impression of the whole passage. Here, my students are led to get right pronunciation, and to get complete cognition of the diary again as well.2. Role-play. To get a deeper impression and to put what weve learned into pract

10、ice , my students will retell the story by performing Wu Yifan and his grandpas phone call.Step 4. Consolidation and extension1. Writing. At first, I will share my day with them ,and then they will write their own days and share them with us, too.Here,I want the kids to put what we have got in the c

11、lass into use.2. Moral education.The young children will be guided to have good mood in time of facing different things every day. Students are expected to have right attitude towards “bad” things . I think its more important to guide children to live happily than to have success in study.Homework1.
