43、语词汇的困难,采取行之有效的对策,进行有效的教学,会起到事倍功半的效果。【关键词】词汇教学 问题对策词汇是语言的三要素之一,是语言活动的基础。英国著名语言学家Wilkins曾说过:“没有语法,人们不能表达很多东西,而没有词汇,人们则无法表达任何东西。”学习一门新的语言,只有积累了大量的词汇,才能够相互间进行顺利的沟通交流。因此,在英语教学中,词汇教学是十分重要的。然而,学生词汇学习低效引起了广大英语教师的普遍重视。英语课堂中如何采取行之有效的词汇学习策略帮助学生提高词汇学习的效率,达到事倍功半的效果,在英语教学中显得尤为重要。一、小学英语词汇教学存在的问题(-)词汇读音困难我国小学生学习汉字是

44、从拼音字母开始的,a、0、e的读音已在他们的脑海中打下深刻的烙印,这对其英语学习产生了较强的负面作用。而且由于小学生的听觉未发育完善,很多学生模仿单词发音存在一定的问题,例如单词结尾辅音的漏发,h a t念成了 hae,name念成nei。而有的单词会出现音形不一致,如有的字母不发音,同音异形等。对于初学英语的小学生来说势必会导致发音不准,影响词汇的掌握效果。(二)词汇记忆困难对于刚接触英语的三年级学生来说,这门学科还是非常有趣的,但随着难度的增加,学生渐渐失去了刚开始的那股热情。特别是到了高年级,大量单词需要记忆,而学生未掌握科学的记忆方法,记住一个词需要花很多时间,加之现阶段小学英语课程安

45、排为每周三课时,每节课40分钟,而且小学生遗忘性大,好不容易记住的单词过几天又忘了。因此许多学生提到背单词,就感到头疼,学习兴趣也淡薄了。(三)语言运用能力欠缺词汇是语言的建筑材料,人与人之间的交流,主要是由词汇构成的话语实现的。而小学英语中语法的教学很少,导致学生不能正确运用单词组织语句进行表达,加之缺少特定的语境,很多学生毕业时虽掌握了不少单词和短语,但不会灵活运用,学到的仍是“哑巴英语”。二、词汇教学理念一个人的词汇知识取决于三个层面:一是词汇量;二是词汇知识的深度,即掌握词汇所包含的知识的数量;三是主动性,即使用词汇的速度。“词汇学习的目的应该包括记住单词以及在需要的时候在大量语言环境

46、中自动运用的能力。w(McCar th y,1984)可见,词汇的运用是衡量词汇掌握情况的一个重要尺度。教师在词汇教学中除了传授词汇所包含的语义和文化内涵,致力于扩大学生的词汇量之外,也应贯彻学以致用的交际原则,引导学生熟练运用所学词汇,使 之 成 为“积极词汇”,从而延长词汇记忆的持久度。三、小学英语词汇教学的主要对策(一)借助多种形式呈现单词根据小学生认识事物的规律,教师需要以不同形式呈现单词,抓住学生的好奇心,给学生留下深刻的第一印象,可以为单词学习打下良好基础。1.直观呈现。课堂中除了语言环境以外,通过生动形象的直观事物辅助教学也是十分必要的。实物、图片、简笔画、多媒体课件等这些形象化

47、的事物容易激发学生的兴趣,同时使学生把英语与实物进行联系,便于他们理解词义。如教PE P Book 4 Uni t 4If s War m Today中的cool,cold,w ar m,h ot时,笔者准备了冰水和开水让学生摸一摸感知cold与h ot的意义,学生的学习情绪一下子被跳动起来了,接着在冰水中加入少量和大量的开水,再让学生分别触摸感知cool与w ar m 的含义。再如教学PE P Book 5 Uni t3 Let s Lear n中有关味道的单词,笔者把日常生活中的醋、盐、糖、苦瓜、辣椒等带进课堂,让学生亲自品尝、闻闻,在亲身体验中快乐地获得了新知。通过实物教学,让学生的多种

48、感官参加记忆,从多种渠道输入使学生对单词的记忆更加牢固。2.肢体语言呈现。通过动作、表情、声音等呈现单词的意思,学生开始可以通过模仿教师的动作和单词读音学习单词,进而惊醒自由发挥,用自己的方式向老师和同学表达单词的意思。例如PE P Book 1 Uni t 5 We Love Ani m als教学动物类单词,教师可以一边模仿动物的样子,一边呈现单词并向学生示范单词的读音。对于小学英语教学来说,体态语具有举足轻重的作用,学生很容易把动作和单词联系起来,加深学生对单词的记忆能力,达到很好的教学效果。(二)情境教学众所周知,语言的运用单位是句子,在语言交际中,人们表达思想通常都是以句子为单位来进

49、行的,词只不过是句子的组成成分。学生学习词汇的目的是运用词汇造句,继而表达思想。因此,词汇教学只有结合句型教学,才能使学生通过具体的语言材料来理解词义,掌握词的用法。此外,词的许多语音特征,词形变化规律和词的各种不同意义的展示,只有在句型中才能综合地体现出来,结合句型教学单词时,可以通过新句型复习旧句,还可以利用旧句型来学习新词。词汇教学还可以在具体的实际生活情景、模拟交际情景、直观教具情景以及想象情景中进行。实践表明,在英语学习中,利用某种具体环境有助于人们记忆与相关的某些内容,在具体情景中讲解单词,可以引发学生的兴趣,使他们容易记住所学的东西,而且还有助于学生把所学单词在交际中恰当地使用。

50、这体现了英课 程 标 准(实验稿)的要求,注重学生语言运用能力的培养,发展学生的综合语言运用能力。如在教学PEP Book 1 Unit3中的Colour时,教师可以带学生去欣赏校园内多姿多彩的花草树木,学习有关颜色的单词,同时可以拓展一些内容进行教学,丰富学生的英语知识。又如教学PEP Book 4 Unit 6 At a Farm这一单元的单词,教师可以把教室布置成农场,在教室里的墙壁上贴上各种已经学过的动物图片,借助多媒体播放不同动物的独特声音,让学生来猜测是什么动物,并教学单词。此情景法在教学PEP Book 2 Unit 5 Where Is My Ruler 这一单元中的交通工具时
