1、选择性必修四 Unit 6 Understanding ideasThe Call of the Challenger教材分析本单元的主题语境是“人与自然”,涉及的主题语境内容是探索宇宙 奥秘。本单元通过介绍太阳系的形成、中国航天的发展与成就、“挑 战者”号航天飞机的空难事件、人类对宇宙的仰望等学习内容,帮助 学生了解人类探索太空过程中的重大事件。激发学生探索宇宙的好奇 心与兴趣,培养学生面对挫折与困难不轻言放弃的意志品质,赞颂人 类永不止步的探索精神。本节课所选用的是Understanding Ideas模块。本模块呈现了一 篇反映单元主题的课文,语篇类型为论说文。课文讲述了 “挑战者” 号

2、航天飞机失事的前后经过。这次失败给美国的太空探索计划和民众 心理都造成了巨大的影响,尽管如此,也未能阻挡人们探索太空的脚 步和决心。读中活动通过请学生通过读标题和看图片预测课文内容。 读后活动通过关键信息提取和开放性问题回答等活动,帮助学生深入 理解课文,分析课文,探究主题意义,培养思维能力。以“新课标”为导师教学建议是落实课程标准的关键,因为课堂 教学的有效实施是保证核心素养能够落实的最重要的途径。修订后的 英语课程标准对教师提出了八条教学建议。本文将从新课标提出的教 学建议的角度入手,结合笔者日常教学进行思考和反思。新课标说:“关注主题意义,制订指向核心素养的单元整体教学目标。”以“新课标

The text tells the stoiy of space shuttle Challengers crash. This failure has had a huge impact on the

5、U.S. space exploration program and peoples psychology. However, it has not stopped peoples footsteps and determination to explore space. The pre-reading activity asks students to learn some topic words about space exploration to pave the way for learning the text. During the reading activity, studen

6、ts are asked to predict the content of the text by reading the title and looking at the pictures. The post-reading activities help students to deeply understand the text, analyze the text, explore the meaning of the theme, and cultivate their thinking ability through activities such as text judgment
