1、选择性必修四 Unit 6 Understanding ideasThe Call of the Challenger教材分析本单元的主题语境是“人与自然”，涉及的主题语境内容是探索宇宙 奥秘。本单元通过介绍太阳系的形成、中国航天的发展与成就、“挑 战者”号航天飞机的空难事件、人类对宇宙的仰望等学习内容，帮助 学生了解人类探索太空过程中的重大事件。激发学生探索宇宙的好奇 心与兴趣，培养学生面对挫折与困难不轻言放弃的意志品质，赞颂人 类永不止步的探索精神。本节课所选用的是Understanding Ideas模块。本模块呈现了一 篇反映单元主题的课文，语篇类型为论说文。课文讲述了 “挑战者” 号
2、航天飞机失事的前后经过。这次失败给美国的太空探索计划和民众 心理都造成了巨大的影响，尽管如此，也未能阻挡人们探索太空的脚 步和决心。读中活动通过请学生通过读标题和看图片预测课文内容。 读后活动通过关键信息提取和开放性问题回答等活动，帮助学生深入 理解课文，分析课文，探究主题意义，培养思维能力。以“新课标”为导师教学建议是落实课程标准的关键，因为课堂 教学的有效实施是保证核心素养能够落实的最重要的途径。修订后的 英语课程标准对教师提出了八条教学建议。本文将从新课标提出的教 学建议的角度入手，结合笔者日常教学进行思考和反思。新课标说:“关注主题意义，制订指向核心素养的单元整体教学目标。”以“新课标

The text tells the stoiy of space shuttle Challengers crash. This failure has had a huge impact on the

The pre-reading activity asks students to learn some topic words about space exploration to pave the way for learning the text. During the reading activity, studen

The post-reading activities help students to deeply understand the text, analyze the text, explore the meaning of the theme, and cultivate their thinking ability through activities such as text judgment
