2、 to different results in a moral dilemma, which aims at guiding students to understand the commonality and complexity of moral dilemmas in our daily life, reflect our own morals and carry on our excellent traditional morals and virtues like friendliness, hope, kindness, generosity, help, honesty, re
3、sponsibility, courage and so on. So the clue of this unit: facing the moral dilemmas- choose- carry on the good morals and virtues(the importance of good morals and virtues). Concretely, Part A is a conversation between Jane and Luke about young Lin Qiaozhi, later a famous specialist in women and ch
4、ildrens illness in China. In the dialogue, Jane told a real story about young Lin Qiaozhis choice when facing a moral dilemma. Lin was attending an entrance exam of medical college when a girl attending the exam next to her was faint. Save or not ? Its a moral dilemma. Saving, perhaps she couldnt fi
5、nish her exam and achieve her dream-a doctor who could save more lives. Not saving violated her principle as a doctor- heal the wounded, saving the dying. Faced with the dilemma, young Lin Qiaozhi chose to save rather than keep her own benefit-go on her exam. Because of that, Lin was admired by coun
6、tless ordinary people. So in this part, there are a lot of phrases about feeling and emotions. For example, “Really? Like what ?” “I cant believe she.” “Who would do such a thing ?” “Oh, wow!” Teaching aims:1. Students can understand definitions of moral dilemmas and carry on good morals and virtues
