The author firstly describes the current teaching and learning situation and points out the problem.Second, the author e

IntroductionInterest is very important in learning English and is also an effective motivation to learn English. It can push people forward to learn

So it surely is a crucial element which can influence ones attitudes, motivate ones potential and keep ones perseverance.In order to have an effective English lesson which is beneficial and interesting, first of all, an English teacher should learn students learning psychology and motives
9、, and then use some advanced and effective techniques to teach English in classroom according to previous study. To some extent, the most effective method to make English teaching and learning smooth and successful is to arouse students interest in English.(Celce-Murcia, 1988) 1 Just as Einstein onc
10、e said “Interest is the best teacher.” It is to say that interest is a direct motivating element to push forward students learning which means that interest plays an indispensable role in English learning. Comparatively speaking, learning English is rather dull, especially to study so many new words

Therefore, it is teachers obligation to encourage them to learn English and teachers should spare no effort to motivate the students interest. II. Present English Teaching and Learning Situation2.1 Present En
12、glish Teaching SituationIn China, to a large extent, English teaching is always dominated by the teachers, English practices are mostly text-oriented, and attention is scarcely paid to training students interest in learning English. The traditional teaching methods are primarily referred to asdidact
13、ics which is a kind of teaching methodology in which the main task of a teacher is to deliver a lecture literally or teach the linguistic knowledge, and meanwhile the main task of students is just to listen and take down notes.(Ye Jianping, 2006)3 However, they only accept the knowledge in a passive
14、 way which is given by the teacher, instead of themselves who should be active to understand, learn, remember and apply the knowledge. In this way, didacticsis actually nonsense for the students to study well and learn real knowledge, and shouldnt be frequently applied in English teaching. 2.2 Prese
15、nt English Learning SituationIn a classroom, it is the usual situation that most students keep silent and play a role as audience. Whats more, they seldom speak English or put up their hands to answer the teachers questions voluntarily, let alone some even fall asleep. It seems that they are attachi

Therefore, in order to carry out smooth teaching and learning, teachers should establish a harmonious relationship between them and the students. It is the basis of a good relationship between t

As Chairman Mao once said, gifts of people are like sparks, and they can put out, at the same time, they can burn up, as is the case with encouragement which can kindle students to get better achievements. Teachers love and underst
25、andings will encourage students to study hard and make progress. This is also their responsibility. Teachers behaviors have a long-lasting influence on students minds. As the proverb says, Love me, love my dog, so to some extent, the teachers love of students will be transferred to the students love

So, teacher should organize effective English class and make some innovation based on students different English level, individual cha
33、racter, and interest and comprehension ability.4.3.1 Make Profound PreparationThe first thing a teacher needs to do is to prepare his or her work to be effective. It is beyond doubt that teachers should prepare their lessons profoundly. A good preparation work is based on the teaching material as we
34、ll as knowing students well. As a teacher, it is necessary to learn the teaching materials thoroughly and understand the students who are going to attend the class. Furthermore, to give the students a sound introduction of the background relevant to the objectives of the lesson will help them to get

This procedure will encourage the students to be active to learn what they want to know in the following class time. 4.3.2 Create an Interesting English EnvironmentSince every class is distinct, teachers should creatively come up with the

The advantages and some key points are explained. It is now more apparent that the teaching of pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar can be supported effectively by using such resources.
