Do you mind my smoking?我抽烟你介意吗?(我抽烟)Would you mind.?用来提问时,表示客气的语气,比Do you mind?要客气 委婉。回答时,如果是拒绝对方的提议,往往用Tm sorry.或Tm afraid youM better not等表示婉转的拒绝;如果听

3、从对方的提议,往往用No, not at all来表 示接受。如果用yes,含有不客气地拒绝要求的语气。mind还可以构成很多的短语:像never mind没关系、一点也不介意”,make up ones mind“下决心,change ones mind改变主意等。(2)tum down “关小一点”,其反义词组是turn up “开大点”。还有tum on打 开.turn。甲关上”这几个词一般用在“打开”或“关上”,如水龙头、收音 机、电视机或气阀等上面。例如:Will you please turn on the computer?请打开电脑好吗?Remember to turn off

14、 smoking here?你介意我在这里抽烟吗?(2)对这个句型的回答:mind意为“介意,反对”,所以表示“不介意;不反对” 应用no回答。例如:一 Would you mind turning down the music?你介意调小音乐吗?一 No, not at al 1.不,一点也不。(3)would you mind 后应接动名词短语,Would you mind not doing sth?是其否定 形式;would you mind one9s doing sth. ?是其复合形式,在现代英语中,one9s 也可以用one代替。如:I dont mind his singin
