1、1/8 Quality Control Checklist-Wood Furniture 1.Rough Mill:1.1 Check moisture content on lumber in kiln.Check moisture on plywood parts.1.2 Check to insure rough cut parts are the correct length,width,height or thickness to allow for machining.1.3 Check to insure there are no dead knots in the parts
2、and that the live knots conform to product quality requirements.1.4 Inspect for wind shake,splits,honeycombs,cracking,etc.2.Lamination Department:2.1 Insure that parts to be laminated are laminated on both sides before clamping.2.2 Insure that grain direction is reversed on all parts being laminated
3、.2.3 Inspect for moisture content after the lamination process.2.4 Inspect for rough cut sizes to insure allowances are made for machining,length,width,height or thickness.3.Machine Department:3.1 All parts need to be checked for proper size and machining 2/8 according to the detail.3.2 Inspect mois
4、ture content.(If moisture content is above 8%re-dry parts.)3.3 All parts machined to spec sheets and FC standard spec Bk.3.4 There are no parts splitting or cracking.3.5 There are no open grains.3.6 Check for parts being square when applicable.3.7 Dry fit parts to check for proper fit.3.8 Check all
5、right angles.3.9 Inspect tops with straight edge for warping.3.10 Check Rab Parts for proper depth and consistent machining.3.11 Check that all reveals are clean at 90%and uniform in size and length.3.12 Inspect door style,door,side panels,parting rails,etc.For proper construction and warping(Use st
6、raight edge).3.13 Check all board and mortised parts for proper size boring and tennon.3.14 Check all miters and compound miters for consistency and fit.3.15 Check boring for hardware,shelves and adjustable shelf hole spacing.3.16 All reveal and tops are uniform in size.3.17 Insure that bunn feet th
7、at cannot be turned into the carcuss post have the correct dowel length.3/8 4.Carving Department:4.1 Check that all carvings are consistent and complete.(Used mirror image concept)5.Pre Assembly:5.1 Check to insure that parts fit properly.6.Pre Sanding-Parts Sanding:6.1 Insure all parts are sanded p
8、roperly.6.2 Insure that the edges are broke on all parts.6.3 Pre-fill all tops that have open grain.7.Assembly:7.1 Check carcuss to insue proper fit at all joints and that they are properly glued and screwed.7.2 Insure the carcus is leveled.(Sits Level)7.3 Check outter carcus for square.7.4 Check al
9、l door and drawer compartments for square and proper dimension.Check carcus top for level,front,back,and sides(Use straight edge)7.5 Insure that all items are strong and stable.(Use-weight test by applying minimal pressure)4/8 7.6 Check corner blocks to insure they have been glued and screwed.7.7 Ch
10、eck parting rails to include dust bottom for proper fit and that they are not warping.7.8 Check all under arts for uniformity.(Table Apron)7.9 Check to insure proper bridging is installed on all tables.7.10 Check for proper Drawer Costruction and pitch.7.11 Check for proper shelf fitting and clearnc
11、e for no sticking and proper clearance.(By F.C Specs Book)7.12 Check to insure that all inside and out side dimensions are correct according to the overall size.7.13 Check chair seat depths.7.14 Insure that all pitchs conform to specifications.7.15 Insure no gauges,scratches,dents,nails or splintere
12、d areas are on the item.7.16 All drawer and door deges need to be rounded.(Hand Sand Edges)7.17 Insure that all overlays have been properly alligned,glued and pinned nailed.7.18 All doors and side panels being a solid or veneered panl must have a floating panel construction.(Check Spec.Book for Cons
13、trusction)7.19 Check all legs for champer and rounding.7.20 Insure all bunn feet have been glued and screwed.5/8 7.21 Insure back panels are square and screwed on not glued.7.22 Check tops for proper instillation,fit and screwing.7.23 Insure brass is permanently fixed with epoxy and nailed,and taped
14、 for finishing purposes.Unit Sanding:光泽 Insure that proper sanding is done throughout the entire case.Insure all carvings are flutter sanded and hand sanded.Insure all gauges,dents,scratches,cracks it are filled and sanded.Cracks and splits 1/8”or larger need to be slivered.No veneer used for patchi
15、ng on solid pieces.Patch follows grain in existing item as much as possible and patch does not have definite shape.EX.Square,round,oval,ect.All patches should be 1/4”in thickness for solid pieces.Check for glue runs.Polish Sanding Check surfaces inside and out for consistent sanding.Check carvings f
16、or proper final sanding.Finishing:Insure proper materials are being used according to the step panel.Insure the inside finish is consistent and matches the outside.6/8 Overall finish is even and consistent.Tops,bottoms and back panels of items are to be finished.All surfaces are smooth and free of o
17、verspray.Check for the finnish cracking and peeling.Check for runs and fingefrprints in the finish.Insure drawer interiors are finished correctly.Check to insure all hand paintings are correct and consistent.Check final color against sample for variation.Packing:Before packing check to insure all ha
18、rdware and hinges are installed correctly.Check joints for cracking.Allitems need to be blown off with air hose and inspected.Check to insure all interiors are clean.Check glass insert for proper fit.Check mirror insert fo proper fit.Check moisture content.Insure all items are wrapped in 4mm plastic
19、 proir to shipment.Stone Casting:Check for any imperfection in the stone.Inspect molds on a regular basis.7/8 All cast should be free of flat seams.Check for hair line cracks.Check for adjustable glides on all dining tables.When applicable.Check for level surfaces for all items that require lay on g
20、lass.When applicable check items for square and level.When stone and metal are casted together issure there are no gaps or holes when they are joined.Insure items without adjustable glides sit level.Check dimensions according to the detail.Metal:Insure all items are level.Insure items that require l
21、ay on glass the surface is level.Insure dimensions are correct according to the detail.When possible adjustable glides need to be added to dining tables.Check for grinding or welding mistakes.Check for primeron all metal,or that is has been sealed to prevent rusting.Veneer:Check thickness of veneer,
22、insure it meets F.C spec.Sheet.Inspect for proper lamination.Check veneer moisture.Moisture should not exceed 9%.Check for proper grain direction on veneer.8/8 Check for veneer checking and wind shake.Leather&Weaving Check leather for discolorations and imperfections.Check joints for fit and tooling.Check tooling to insure it is continuously colored.check for wrinkles and insure it is stretched properly.Check weaving for tight weaves.Check for proper stretching.Check interlocking weaving for gaps or noles.Insure weaves are properly fasted to the carcass.
