2、oyallmodernconveniences.Myearlyeducationwasreceivedinmyhometown,i.e.sixyearsirimaryschoolandthreeyearsinjuniormiddleschool.Aftercompletingnineyearsofformaleducationin1958.IwenttoXiamenandparticipatedinthejointentranceexaminationforfive-yearjuniorcolleges.Fortunately,IwasadmittedtotheDepartmentofElec
3、tricalEngineeringatXiamenJuniorEngineeringCollege.IchoseElectricalEngineeringasmymajorbecause,ontheonehand,IlikedPhysicsverymuch;andontheotherhand,electricalindustryisamajorsectoroftheeconomyofChina.ThefiveyearsofinteivetrainingcametoanendinJune1978whenIreceivedadiploma.AndinJuly1980.IwashiredbyNanY
4、aplasticCompanyandhaveservedasajuniorelectricalengineeratthecompanytothepresent.Ienjoytheworkandfeelcompetentforthejob.Inworking,however,IveFoundthatwhatIhavelearnedichoolislimitedandfarfromsufficienttohandlesophisticatedjo.Therefore,IhavedecidedtoextendmyeducationandwouldliketoenteranAmericanititutionfirstlytoearnaBachelorsdegreeinElectricalEngineering.Then,ifpoible,IwouldliketocontinuemyeducationtowardaMastersdegree.Afterthisobjectiveisreached,Iwillreturntomycountryandseekajobinapublicfirm.MostprobablyIwillcontinuetoworkwithNanYaPlasticCompany.
