61By“challenges explanation”(Line 2,para1)the author means that_.62.The third paragraph is mainly about_. 51.The experiment conducted by the researcher was meant to_.52.The number of refereeing errors in the

、experimental matches was_ 53.The findings of the experiment show that_ 从三个题目的题干出发,便可知道原文中会涉及实验,于是可以作如下分析:51题问研究人员进行实验的目的,那就应该在实验过程之前找答案;52题问在实验过程中裁判犯错的次数是多少,从第三段可知;53题问实验的发现表明什么第4页/共149页说明是在实验的过程之后找答案;53题可以通过在原文中找总结性的句子较快找到相应的答案。

We set up a taste test that challenges people who identified themselves as either Coca-cola or Pepsifans:Find your brand in a blind tasting.

The appeal of advertising to

、buying motives can have both negative and positive effects.第11页/共149页 consumers may be convinced to buy a product of poor quality or high price because of advertisement.” 31Advertising can per

、suade the consumer to buy worthless products by_.A)maintaining a balance between quality and price第12页/共149页B)convincing him of their low priceC)appealing to his buying motivesD)stressing their high quality

这种形式的主题句之前通常有表示总结的提示词,如:in conclusion,to conclude,in summary,to sum up,in

、 short,in brief,in a nutshell;或表示推断的提示词:therefore,thus,as a result,accordingly;或表示转折的提示词,but,however等。

Like many of my generation,I have a weakness for hero worship. At some point, however,we all begin to question our heroes and our need for them. This leads us to ask:What is a hero?Despite immense differences in cultures, heroes around the world generally

、share a number of characteristics that instruct and inspire people. 11 Although heroes may come from different cultures, they.A)generally possess certain inspiring characteristics B)probably share some weaknesses of ordinary peopleC)are often influ

、enced by previous generations D)all unknowingly attract a large number of fans 考的实际是文章的主题,只要在读到第二段时我们予以了足够的重视,现在就应该有点印象,可以找出A)或B)可能为正解,至于究竟是A)还是B),我们如果完全理解了题目和第二段(主题句)的含义,自然可以找出A)为正解来。

Engineering students are supposed to be examples of practicality and rationality, but when it comes to my college education I am an idealist and a fool.In high school I wanted to be an electrical engineer and,of course, any sensible student with my aims would have chosen a college with a lar

、ge engineering department, famous reputation and lots of good labs and research equipment. But that s not what I did.

Taste is such a subjective matter that we dont usually conduct preference tests for food. The most you can say about anyones preference is that it s one person s opinion. But because the two bi

、g cola(可乐饮料)companies-Coca-Cola and Pepsi Cola aremarketed so aggressively,we ve wondered how big a role taste preference actually plays in brand loyalty. We set up a taste test that challenged people who identified themselves as either Coca-Cola or Pepsi fans:Find your brand in a blind tasting. While

、t,was not a factor. Our preference test results suggest that only a few Pepsi participants and Coke fans may really be able to tell their favorite brand by taste and price. The author purpose in writing this passage is to第21页/共149页 A)show that taste preference is highly subjective B)argue that taste t

、esting is an important marketing strategy C)emphasize that taste and price are closely related to each other D)recommend that blind tasting be introduced in the quality control of colas

Why does cream go bad faster than butter? Some researchers think they have the answer, and it comes down to the structure of the food, not its chemical composition-a finding

、 that could help rid some processed foods of chemical preservatives. 36.The significance of Brocklehurst s research is that A)it suggested a way to keep some foods fresh without preservatives B)it discovered tiny globules in both cream and butter C)

、it revealed the secret of how bacteria multiply in cream and butter D)it found that cream and butter share the same第24页/共149页chemical composition 破折号后内容的句意是“一项可以帮助某些加工食 品摆脱防腐剂的新发现。”

English is still the international language of business. But there is an ever-growing need for people who can speak another language.A second language isnt generally required to get a job in business, but having language skills gives a Candidate the edge when other qua

、lifications appear to be equal. Q24:24.According to the passage, what is an important consideration of international corporations in employing people today? A)Connections with businesses overseas.B)Ability to speak the clients lang

、uage.C)Technical know-how.D)Business experience. The fitness movement had began in the late 1960s and early 1970s centered around aerobic exercise(有氧操). Millions of indivi

这儿我们谈的强调并不是语法意义上的强调,而是含有强调意味的表达,比如must,all,only,anyone,always,never等意义绝对的词;first,most beautiful等最高级表达;表达惟一性的词如only,solely,unique,merely等;还有一些主观色彩浓重的名词、动词、形容词如:key,important,essential等。

Another common episode of absent-mindedness:walking into a room and wondering why youre there. Most likely, you were thinking about something else.“Everyone does this from time to time,”says Zelinski. The best thing to do is to return to where yo

、u were before entering the room, and youll be likely to remember.第37页/共149页 其中Most likely,这个Most是标志词,注意其前后的、尤其是后面的句子you were thinking about something else”,这儿会是考点.29.What do we learn from the last paragraph?A)If we focus our attention on one thing,we might forget another.B)Memory depends to a certain

、 extent on the environment.C)Repetition helps improve our memory.D)If we keep forgetting things, wed better return to where we were. It is estimated that up

、 to 100,000 people watch or take part in fox hunting. But over the last couple of decades the number of people opposed to fox hunting, because they think it is brutal(残酷的),has risen sharply.Nowadays it is rare for a hunt to pass of without some kind of confrontation(冲突)between hunters and hunt saboteu

、rs(阻拦者)Sometimes these incidents lead to violence, but mostly saboteurs interfere with the hunt by misleading riders and disturbing the trail of the foxs smell, which the dogs follow. 28.Fox hunting opponents often interfere in the game A)by resorting to violence B)by confusing the fox hunter

为基础),be due to(由于);第41页/共149页 (3)表示因果关系的连词或介词:because,since for,as,therefore,so,thus,why,with;(4)表示因果关系的副词:as a result,consequently 除了上述原文有因果关系提示词的显性

、ories than men, possibly because they pay more attention to their environment, and memory relies on just that.” Q27;27.One possible reason why women have better memories than men is that A)they have a wider range of interests B)they are more reliant on the environment第43页

C)they have an unusual power of focusing their attention D)they are more interested in whats happening around them 就是答案D.Chevrons(人字形的标识),scientists say,not only give drivers the impression that they are driving faster than they re
