1、Greetings and introduction:Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. I am greatly honored to have the chance to share my ideas about how to teach/my teaching plan of In the teaching process, I will focus on students long-term development and enable them to use proper reading skills and learning strategies
2、. In other words, students are guided to read efficiently and independently.My teaching plan includes three sections. They are the analysis of the materials; identifying the teaching aims and teaching procedures.Section 1: Analysis of the teaching materialThe selected teaching materials is , the art

After analyzing it carefully, I find the articleSection 2: Identifying the teaching aimsBased on the analysis of the teaching materials, I will choose the following as the teaching aims of my lesson:The 1st aim: students wi
4、ll strengthen the skills and strategies to read efficiently.The 2nd aim: students will get a better understanding of The 3rd aim: students will be encouraged to figure out the implied meaning.The 4th aim: students will be familiar with various expressions or approaches to expressSection 3: teaching
5、proceduresIn order to achieve the teaching aims mentioned above, I decide to choose guided reading and task-based teaching as the main teaching approaches. With the teaching methods, I will guide students to use effect reading strategies to comprehend the text, solve problems and complete different
6、tasks. The teaching procedures include four parts: they are:leading-in/warming up/getting ready; pre-reading; while-reading and post reading.Part 1: getting readyIts important to activate students existing background knowledge and draw their attention to the topic of the text. In this part, I will u
7、se the pre-reading activities to increase students concentration, arouse their curiosity, fire their imagination and give them the purpose of reading. This part consists of two tasks:Task 1: With the task, I inspire students previous knowledge and imagination about, which can draw their attention to
8、 the theme of the reading materials and get them ready for the following reading activities.Task2: brainstorming. In This task , I will show them some pics of This task will excite students desire to know more about, with the question in mind, students will definitely be eager to listen to the tape/
9、to read the passage to find the answer.Part2. Pre-reading:During this part, I will asks the students to answer the following questions. Students are supposed to get the main idea of the text. This part includes tasks:Task 1. listening With the task, I get students to listen to the three paras instea
10、d of reading them, thus reducing the reading time and releasing their psychological burden, otherwise students would be discouraged by reading.Task 2: scanning and matching:In this task , I get students to scan to check the answers to , then they are required to complete with a second reading.With t
11、his task, the students learn to use a table to gather the main facts about. They will come to know that a table is of great use in their future reading.Task 3: scanning for details: I get the students to scan the remaining paras and find the answers to the questions.With this task, the students are
12、expected to grasp the theme of the article.Task 4: Definition: the students will watch a VCR with the questions in mind.The task serves as a supplement to with the task, students are expected to know more about .Task5: .The task enables students to have a good knowledge ofTask6 :The task helps stude
13、nts get a further understanding of the role a table plays in helping gather main facts or opinions.Part3: while-reading.(reading between the lines)In this part, I will encourage students to answer the questions:as we know, information in a passage is not always stated directly. Sometimes students ha
14、ve to infer or make guesses based on the information in the passage. So in this part, students are asked to infer the implied meaning, distinguish the main idea from the supporting details and understand how the text is organized. This part consists of three tasks.Task 1.similar sentences. The Engli
15、sh language enjoys various ways to express the same thing or idea, I will get the students to read a second time and find out the similar sentences.This task is designed to help students learn and use different ways to express the same idea. The task gets students ready for talking and writing about
16、Task 2. guessing from the context.The task helps students to recognize that in most language learning situations, they will come across vacabury they dont know. With the task, the students are guided to look at the context in which a word or phrase is used and try to find any clues to its meaning.Ta
17、sk 3. collection.The task is intended for the students to collect more information aboutWith the task, the students will know more about.Task4. understanding the title.The task is designed to help the students fully understand the meaning of the title.Part 4. post reading:As we know, most writers ar
18、e prejudiced in some way and try to convince their readers of something, or influence them to look at things in a certain way, so it is important to train students to read critically. This part consists of two tasks:Task 1: The task is aimed at making students become critical readers, the students should be encouraged to eva luate and make judgment about the authors attitude.Task 2. writing. The task aims to consolidate the information they have learnt and improve their speaking and writing skills.Ok, so much for my teaching plan. Thanks for your attention.
