1、Unit 8 When is your birthday?一、单元教材分析本单元主要学习日期的表达方式。本单元主要围绕“谈论日期”这一话题开展听、说、读和写 的学习活动,学习序数词的构成以及运用序数词表示日期的方法;学会运用when引导的特殊疑 问句询问日期;通过学习能掌握英语表达年、月、日的单词和句型,能够熟练地谈论各种有关日期 的话题。此外,还要学习名词所有格(s所有格)的构成和使用;学习询问表达年龄的句型。能 够询问及表达一些常见的节日的日期。二、单元学情分析本单元的主题是询问和谈论日期,围绕这一主题进行一系列的交际活动,使学生掌握日期的表 达法,正确使用when引导的特殊疑问句对日期进
2、行询问。在学习日期的表达法时要先学习序数 词的构成,学生在以前的课程里已经学习了基数词,对于两种数词之间的区别一定会令学生感到头 痛,教师要引导学生运用对比的方法,找出构成规律,总结特殊变化,对比强化记忆。三、单元教学建议采用自主学习、小组合作探究、Classifying , Contrasting和Role-playing的学习策略, 利用教学图片、幻灯片、实物(大挂历、日历)或制作课件(反映月份特征,课内外活动)等 来展开课堂教学、Pairwork问答式的口语交际活动或游戏等小组活动,进行“询问和谈论日期” 的课堂教学和练习。本单元的教学法建议:语音教学让学生进行模仿操练;词汇教学采取 情
