16、目的状语,可以在不定式之前加上 in order 或 so as,即构成in order to do sth 和 so as to do sth 结构。如:Many farmers fertilize their crops in order to make them grow more quickly.许多农民给庄稼施肥,为的是让庄稼长得更快些。Ill write down his telephone number so as not to forget it.我要把他的电话号码写下来,以免忘记。三、语法上的特点 从语法上看,不定式表示目的通常是指发生在谓语动作之后的动作,也就是说,若以谓语

17、动作发生的时间为标准,用作目的状语的不定式是一个尚未发生的将来动作。如:He turned his head around to look at people.他扭头看人。“扭头”的目的是为了“看人”。很显然,谓语动作“扭头”在先,目的状语“看人”在后。若以“扭头”发生的时间为标准,“看人”为尚未发生的将来动作。10.If you miss this chance,it may be years _ you get another one.A.before B.as C.since D.after【答案】A【解析】句意:如果你错过了这次机会,可能要很多年之后才能得到下一次机会。本题考查 It+

20、价未涨时把房子买下来。二、before 用作介词 before 用作介词时,可以指时间“earlier than 在之前”,也可以指位置“in front of 在之前”。例如:There is nothing that has not been bitter before being ripe.凡事在成熟前,都是有苦味的。Dont put the cart before the horse.不要本末倒置。He was brought before the judge.他被带到法官面前。三、before 用作副词 before 用作副词时,意思是“at an earlier time/in t
