2、nts to read the given sentences and find out what phrases can beused to give opinions.Then require the students to make up some othersentences with the phrases.Next,the students work in pairs and do morepractice.They need to choose their favourite paintings as well as that theydislike most or comple
3、tely,describe them using a few sentences and givetheir reasons why they enjoy or dislike the paintings they choose.The speaking section can be dealt with together with the task part.First have the students work in pairs and write as many questionsconcerning people s likes and dislikes in art as they
4、 can.Then thestudents do a class survey with the help of the written questions,takingdown all the answers to the questions.Next,ask the students to work ingroups and discuss the answers.Finally,the students report theirdiscussion results to the whole class.In the writing part,for ordinary classes,fi
5、rst make it clear that thestudents understand the function of the topic sentence.Then ask thestudents to look back through paragraphs A to D in the reading passage,1/10finding out the topic sentences of them.Next,lead them to read the givensentences and tell which one is the topic sentence.Meanwhile

19、ill have a chance to practice their writing they will be given some time to write a short paragraph according to theirdiscussion.When their writing is well prepared,share it with other groupmembers who can help correct the mistakes.Each group chooses the bestone and presents it to the whole class.1.

32、ative form and style.Though the art ofQi Baishi was originated from nature,which one can learn from hispaintings of animals,insects,and flowers,he painted them in a waynobody else had achieved before.He once said,“The excellence of apainting lies in its being alike,yet unlike.Too much likeness flatt
33、ers thevulgar taste;too much unlikeness deceives the world.”Qi Baishi haddeveloped his style over hislife-long learning,studying,and innovation.His paintings were notmatured until his late life.He was born in Xiangtan,Hunan Province,on Jan.1,1864.Hisbirthday was in 1863 based on the Chinese lunar ca
