1、专业外语(基地班必修)课程教学大纲一、课程说明(一)课程名称、所属专业、课程性质、学分;(一)课程名称、所属专业、课程性质、学分;课程名称:专业外语所属专业:物理专业基地班课程性质:必修学 分:2(二)课程简介、目标与任务;专业英语课程既不是单纯地重复数学或普通物理课程的讲授,也不是用英语讲 授上述两门课程;它与科技英语有相似之处但更加有针对性;本课程是未来成为开 放型专业研究人员的必经之路。通过本课程的讲授,目标是让物理学专业的同学们 尽快熟悉物理专业英语的词汇和表达方法,从而能轻松应对阅读英文文献、英文教 材、听懂学术报告、看懂国外物理专业的视频资料等要求,并加深对所学知识的理 解。同时使
2、学生感受到西方发达国家是如何教授物理的,甚至能看到科学家阐述自 己的理论的原话,接触到原汁原味的知识。对于有出国深造打算的学生,本课程的 帮助更明显。更高的要求则希望通过对本课程的学习能帮助学生自己动手写英文文 章,目前国内一些著名高校本科生发表英文论文的情况并不鲜见。的特点。(三)先修课程要求,与先修课与后续相关课程之间的逻辑关系和内容衔接;先修课程:公共英语,高等数学,普通物理。上述三门课的交叉点形成了本课程的讲授内容。在讲授过程中使学生看到自己 所熟悉的物理专业术语在英语里是如何表达的,对于已经忘记的知识内容可做适当 提醒或探讨。针对国内外教学内容的差异进行适当的衔接或补充。在整个授课过
