2、的 showing at the local cinemas 是现在分词短语,在句中作定语,分词短语作定语必须置于被修饰词之后,相当于一个定语从句。Here is some information about the films showing at the local cinemas.information 的意思是“资料、信息、情报”为不可数名词,没有复数形式,前面不能加 a,但是可以用 a piece of information 来表达一条信息。题二:翻译:1.坐在我和 Tom 中间的那个年轻人是我们的英语老师。2.我有两条消息要告诉你。I dont like horror films

Theyre terrible.Neither do I.句中 neither 作副词,放在句首表否定,后面部分需要倒装。结构:Neither + be 动词/助动词/情态动词+主语。Daniel, this Saturdays talk on films has been canceled.句中的 has been+动词的过去分词,是完成时的被动语态。2题三:翻译:1.他不在一班,我也不在。2.They didnt go to the park last week. Neither _I.翻译:3.我已经做完家庭作业了。 (主动改被动)语法讲解although 和 though 引导的让步状语从句。让步状语从句表示即便出现从句的情况,主句动作依然会发生。在句中可翻译成“尽管、即使” ,有“退一步说”的含义。although 和 though 引导的让步状语从句不能和 but 连用,但可以和 yet 连用。题四:翻译:1.尽管他只是个孩子,但是他知道的很多。2.即使你不来,我也会很
5、开心。3.虽然我远离我的家乡,但是我没有觉得孤独。so.that 和 such.that 引导的结果状语从句。结果状语从句用来说明主句动作所带来的结果。so.that 和 such.that 的区别。so 是副词,修饰形容词和副词。so.that 的意思是“如此以至于” 。such 是限定词,所以只能修饰名词或名词词组。固定句型是 such + a (n) (+adj.)+单数可数名词+that 从句。3such (+adj.) +复数可数名词+that 从句。such (+adj.) +不可数名词+that 从句。题五:翻译:1.这块石头太重了,我举不起来。2.Peter 是一个很好的男人,
6、我想嫁给他。3.他跑得那么快,我赶不上他。4.Peter 是一个好老师,所以我们都很喜欢他。5.这些书非常有趣,我想再读一遍。6.天气太坏,以至于我不得不待在家里。so that 引导的目的状语从句。目的状语从句用于说明主句动作发生的目的。so that 的意思是“以便、为了” ,可以与 in order that 相替换。引导目的状语从句时,表示“以便、为了” ,从句中常使用 can /could /may /might /will /would /should 等情态动词或助动词。题六:翻译:1.你说大点声,让我听见。2.我努力学习,为了能上一个好的高中。3.Kim 节约每一分钱就是为了在
7、母亲节给他妈妈买个礼物。题七:能力提升与拓展Idioms are phrases and sentences that do not mean exactly what they say. Even if you know the meaning of each word you see or hear, you may not understand the idiom 4because you dont understand the culture behind it.For example, if an American boy a sks his mother whats for din
