2、后世的影响等。本课程致力于培养学生基本的 艺术审美情操和深度分析具体文学作品的能力，从而最终帮助学生实现跨文化学习 和交流的目的。本课程教学包括教师直接授课、学生课后阅读以及课外作业的完成，课堂教学以 教师授课为主，兼助学生的课后自主阅读。课程评估检验包括学生的课堂表现、作 业完成情况以及课后阅读，而通过一个学期的学习，学生是否形成有效的思辨能力 来分析文学作品和解析文学现象将是本课程检测学生课程学习情况最终要的一个评 价指标。内容简介 （英文）A Survey and Selected Reading in Anglo-American Literature is an optional c
3、ourse which involves literature and culture learning both in Britain and America ranging from ancient Greek mythologies to the 20th century cultures. The content of this course includes ancient Greek times, Medieval age, Renaissance, the 18th century, romanticism, critical realism and modernism. It
4、covers history developments, brief introductions to major writers, works analyses, writing styles and works influences. This course aims at cultivating students9 sense of arts aestheticism and polishing their capacities to analyze literary works in depth with the ultimate task to have better cross-c
5、ultural awareness and communication.The class teaching includes direct lecturing, after-class reading and extracurricular assignments. The lectures from teachers are the dominant part together with students self-study as a necessary support. Evaluation covers class performance, homework grading and after-class reading.
