35、able Development establishes a transformative vision for achieving economic, social and environmental sustainability, which underpins its commitment to gender equality and the rights and empowerment of women in sustainable development (ECLAC, 2016a). The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development works

36、 together with the Regional Gender Agenda, which is a set of commitments approved over the past 45 years by governments attending the Regional Conference on Women in Latin America and the Caribbean.The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development has a robust review and follow-up mechanism for its implem

37、entation in the form of a framework of global indicators for monitoring progress, shaping policy and ensuring the accountability of all relevant parties. At the regional level, the Statistical Conference of the Americas of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean has become establ

38、ished as an appropriate environment for cooperation, coordination and harmonization of work on official statistics and, as a result, the natural forum for all matters concerning regional follow-up of the 2030 Agenda (ECLAC, 2018a).Moreover, the Montevideo Strategy for Implementation of the Regional Gender Agenda within the Sustainable Development Framework by 2030, approved at the XIII Re
