The next round would be a mastermind round, highlighting one from each team.9. The fourth round could involve participation perhaps singing a song or r

The next round could be the talking for a minute round.Different rounds could be added depending on the levels and interests of the children. It will be preceded every day by a childrens activity,
7、 usually finishing by 6 pm.The attendant should, on completion of the earlier activity, escort all the children to the Ocean Lanai area ensuring that none have prior commitments to meet parents.Then:1. Seat all children.2. Organize orders.3. Stay with the group for the duration of the meal, engaging

Introduce the event to the participants at the beach bure.3. Explain that they have one hour to complete all the items on the list
12、 and to discover where the final clue is hidden. Everyone must stay in pairs and must remain on the Sheraton grounds. The meeting time at the end of the activity is 5.45 p.m. at the beach bure.4. It will be held from 4.30 to 6.00 p.m. initially, and children will meet at the beach bure.Equipment needed a simple handout which mentions articles to be found and tasks to do. Also needed ar
20、e bags to carry findings in, pencils, and one marker. The stages are like the treasure hunt:1. Ensure all children know about the event earlier in the day.2. Introduction of rules and tasks.3. Explain that one hour maximum is allowed for completion of the tasks. Children again operate in pairs and m
21、ust stay on the Sheraton grounds.4. On completion of the event, the discoveries will be looked at and the crabs will be given a number.5. A winner will be chosen.6. The crab race is then started using a circle and by putting all crabs in the centre. The winner is the first out of the circle. This se
22、cond part of the activity will be very informal and should last until approximately 6.00 p.m.As in the treasure hunt, enthusiasm is the main requirement of the instructor. 24、er. These two forms can be merged if the need arises.Form 11. Set out 6 or 7 tables.2. On each table place a childrens board game which can be supplied from the activity desk.3. Organise the children into two teams.4. Begin a tournament using those games, with a clear scoring system.5. They could be

32、RDS AND HOBIE CATSSTANDARD: ALL STAFF WILL KNOW THE PROPER WAY TO LAUNCH AND RECOVER BOATSPROCEDURE:The launching and recovery of sailboards and hobie cat is vital not only to the comfort of guests but also to avoid any damage to the equipment.Staff must be aware of the conditions before sending out
33、 guests and must offer lifejackets to anyone going out. Anyone on the water must be constantly monitored. The following are rigid guidelines:Hobie Cat Launching1. The guest must be reminded how to operate and where they can/cannot go.2. It must be pulled in while remaining head to wind.3. The guests
34、 climb aboard while the instructor holds it steady.4. When guests are ready, the instructor will push the bow away from the wind and guests will lower the rudders as the boat gently pulls away.Hobie Cat Receiving5. Guests will be discouraged from heading straight into the beach at full speed.6. Inst
35、ead they will be encouraged to release the mainsail and come in closer to the wind at a slow pace.7. All incoming boats will be caught.8. As guests get off the hobie they will be helped ashore.PROCEDURES: (continued)9. The Hobie Cat will then be turned around to face the wind if it is not already. I
36、t will then be pulled up the beach carefully avoiding any rocks or stones.10. It will be stored head to wind.Sailboard Launching11. The guest will be reminded how to operate the board and where he can/cannot go.12. The sailboard will be lifted and not dragged in two stages, firstly rig and secondly
37、board. It will then be attached.13. The rig will be placed down wind of the board, with the instructor initially holding the stern to aid stability.14. 40、l guests using equipment on the water. It is the only sure way of getting to guests in trouble consequently it must be maintained thoroughly and used with great care.Safety operation and rescue procedures:1. Always ensure that the outboard is switched off and lifted up when coming in to the beach.2.
41、 When leaving the beach, ensure that the water is deep enough to lower the engine, and dont start until clear of the bottom. Paddle out if necessary.3. Only run the engine at 1/2 throttle, except in the event of an emergency. The boat is not a toy and must be treated with respect. Misuse could lead
42、to suspension.4. Before going out in the boat, check the gas level, that oars and lifejackets are on board, that there is an anchor, and the boat is prepared (If in doubt consult the equipment supervisor).5. Do not overload the boat the maximum allowance is five persons.6. When coming in to a dock,
43、ensure that no guest has fingers or arms outside the boat, and that fenders are out.7. Always lash the boat to a dock with a bow and stern line, or a bow and stern anchor.8. When making a rescue or coming up to a guest in the water, return the engine to neutral and turn it off. Only approach a perso
44、n “bow first.”PROCEDURES: (continued)9. If approaching a windsurfer, approach bow first, turning engine off. Ensure that guest gets into the boat and then lift or tow the board and rig into shore. If towed, only tow the board beside and not behind the boat. Always ensure that nothing is hanging over
45、 the back near the prop.For other safety suggestions consult the engine handbook via the equipment supervisor. If in doubt when operating the boat, think safety first.To start the engines do the following:-1. Check gas.2. Ensure air vent is open.3. Squeeze gas bulb three times.4.
