、Their savings had been 36 to pay lawyers9 fees.A. drawn upB. used upC. backed upD. kept up【答案】B【解析】根据上一句became homeless due to their wrong investment”可推断他们用光了他们的积蓄。use up “用完,耗尽”。【典例 3(节选自 2018江苏卷)When leaving home, Raynor and Moth had just 320 in the bank. They planned to keep the 41 low by living

、on boiled noodles, with the(42 occasional)hamburger shoptreat.A. budgetB. revenueC. compensation D. allowance【答案】A【解析】根据上文的“Raynor and Moth had just 320 in the bank.”

典例 1 (节选自 2020新课标 II 卷)There, among many other things, Nicolo spotted two paintings he thought would look(45 nice)above his dining room table. Nicolo and another bidder(46 battled)until Nicolofinally won the paintings for $32.That

They(57 studied)the other painting andlearned that it was(58 actually)Paul Gauguins Still Life of Fruit on a Table with a Small Dog.”56. A. ownedB. bor

(Nicolo finally won the paintings for 32$),这幅画的所有权是Nicolo的,即他们所拥有,故答案为A项。【典例 2(节选自 2019全国 II 卷)Its about 250 miles from the hills

、arted licking(舔)Ehlers,face.48.

【典例 3(节选自 20典江苏卷)lRaynor Winn and her husband Moth became homeless due to their wrong investment. Their savings had been(36 used up)to pay lawyers fees. 15、52. A. Doctors B. HikingC. LawyersD. Raynor Winn and her husband Moth became homeless due to their wrong investment.”

【以“例”释“法” 1(2021 新高考 I 卷)My life as a tax-paying employed person began in middle school, when, for three whole days, I worked in a baking factory. My best friend Betsys father was a manager at Hough Bakeries, which, at Easter time,41 littlebunny(兔子)cakes for all it

、s 42 throughout Cleveland. It happened that the plant downtown neededeight kids for 43 help during our spring break, for which I had no 44 beyond listening to my favorite records. Id 45 minimum wage. Id see how a factory 46. My parents thought all of this was a grand idea and called Betsys dad with

、their 47.Our 48 in the factory were simple: Place cakes on a moving belt. Attach icing(糖霜)ears. Applyicing eyes and nose.49 bunny from the belt. This was 50 than it sounds.51 a bit and the cakes pile up. As I told my parents at dinner that first night, it was all a little more high-pressure than Id

、52.Dad 53. The son of a grocer, hed spent the summers of his childhood 54 food in Benardsville, New Jersey. This was the sort of work that made you 55 the dollars you earned andrespect those who did the work, he told me.

41. A. soldB. orderedC. madeD. reserved【答案】C【解析】句内层次题。 42. A. storesB. familiesC. schoolsD. citizens【答案】A【解析】句内层次题。

、可知,这个its指代的是前面的Hough Bakeries(霍夫 面包厂)。 A。43. A. generous B. financialC. technicalD. temporary【答案】D【解析】句组层次题。根据前文可知,霍夫面包厂是因复活节要做小兔子蛋糕而需要人帮助,显然这 是“临H寸的,即选temporaryo其他三项generous(慷慨的),financial(经济的),technical(技 术的)

44. A. plansB. problemsC. excusesD. hobbies【答案】A【解析】句组层次题。 A。45. A. offerB. earnC. setD. suggest【答案】B【解析】句内层次题。 46. A. workedB. closedC

A. joysB. ideasC. rolesD. choices【答案】c【解析】句组层次题。

49. A. SaveB. KeepC. StopD. Place cakes on a moving belt. Attach icing(IU) ears. Apply icing eyes and nose.49 bunny from the belt. Slow down a bit and

、the cakes pile up(稍慢一点,蛋糕就会堆积起来),答案就更明显了。50. A. harderB. betterC. longerD. cheaper【答案】A【解析】句组层次题。 Slow down a bit and the cakes pile up(稍慢一点,蛋糕就会堆积起来) 是很好的做题依据,但可惜此句也设了题(Slow down被挖空了),所以只好再往后看。在本段 末尾可以看到it was all a little more high-pressure(压力有点大),由此可推知,第50题应填 harder oA. Calm down B. Slow dow

、nC. Stay onD. 空格处与下文“and the cakes pile up”是因果关系,这里意思是慢一点Slow down, 就会造成蛋糕堆积起来的后果,应选B。 51. A. indicated B. witnessedC. expectedD. remembered【答案】C【解析】句组层次题。前文This was harder than it sounds(这比听起来要难)很容易推知与这里说的是“工 作比我原来想象(expec ted)的要难”形成对应关系。52. A. criedB. smiledC. h

53. A. tastingB. findingC. sharingD. delivering【答案】D【解析】语篇层次题。

、ersey(新泽西州贝纳 兹维尔),你就会发tasting(尝)和sharing(提供)都显然不合适,而delivering(派送)才是最合适 的,尤其是联系到上文作者自己利用假期打工的经历,此处填delivering就显得更为合适。54. A. withdraw B. donateC. receiveD. appreciate【答案】D【解析】句组层次题。 根据后 文的and respect those who did the work(尊重那些做这项工作的人),可知前面宜选appreciate(珍 惜)。

、 was the sort of work that made you appreciate the dollars you earned and respect those who did the work.
